Diamond for Music Lovers!!I was looking for a Bluetooth speaker mainly for personal use and for home. My main priority was good music quality and decent audio and bass. And Song's SRS-XB100 fulfilled my requirements perfectly.Pros :-1. Best sound , audio and vocal clarity you will find in this price range.2. Very good battery life3.Dust and Water ResistanceCons:-Though I don't have any cons as per my usage and expectations, but it may sound less loud and audio won't feel like blasting in the room and outdoors.I bought it at ₹2999 from The Independence Day sale.Who should buy it?Music lovers, especially and professionals looking for a small, handy and portable and easy to use bluetooth speakerSomeone looking for quality of music rather than loudness, bass or that party vibe.Please avoid buying it if you are looking for that loud bass that boosts up the atmosphere, though it's bass is also very good, you won't be disappointed, but still don't consider it as a hard party speaker.Ideal for music lovers looking for usage at home and personal use.

REVIEW AFTER TWO WEEKS’ USESony caught thunder in a cup and called it SRS XB-100. This speaker is pretty loud and clear for its size, purpose and price. It is strictly meant for personal use or a small gathering of 6-8 people at best. Yet this little coffee mug outsmarts every other speaker below 5000 Rs.(Note – this speaker is not loud enough for a party. Those who feel that it is not loud enough for personal use may get an audiological evaluation to see if you have noise-induced hearing loss. Since hearing loss from loud noise (above 70 dB / 70% volume) is irreversible, try to reduce the loudness you listen to and follow 60:60 rule.)AUDIO QUALITYVocals are loud, crisp and clear. Bass is good but not over-the-top. Good treble. From my experience, I would rate SRS XB-100 for various purposes as below.Playing music files = 10/10Playing podcasts = 8/10Call quality = 8/10Playing YouTube videos = 7/10Playing Movies & Series = 7/10Generally, 50%-60% volume was sufficient for audio files to be clear and loud enough. Podcasts needed around 70%. YouTube videos, Movies & Series needed 70%-100% and they largely depended on the quality of file as well. Some old BBC documentaries and series played as clear as any music file at 60% volume whereas Avatar, LOTR series and Spiderman needed at least 80% volume.PORTABILITYThe MOST underrated aspect of this speaker. You could take it and hang it anywhere.CHARGING & BATTERY LIFEAbout 4 to 4.5 hours to charge fully. At around 60% volume, SRS XB-100 lasts for nearly 10 hours, 2 hours less than advertised. At full volume, it lasts nearly 6 hours. But it has no fast charging and the chord provided for charging is very small. These are the only cons I felt.SONY MUSIC CENTRE APPIt just tells you how much battery is left, allow connecting with other Sony speakers for stereo effects and updates the software. It serves no other purpose for this speaker.COMPARED TO OTHER SPEAKERS…….From below 5000 range, only Tribit MaxsoundPlus comes close in XB-100’s audio quality. Tribit XsoundGo is not even as good as the good old Sony SRS-XB13 which got replaced by XB-100. To me, XB-100 sounded better than Tribit Stormbox Micro 2, and even Marshall Willen. XB-100 sounds way better even than Sony’s own 24W speaker SRS XE-200.Don’t fall for the gimmick of speakers with more wattage. 1 watt means that speaker can produce maximum 87dB sound within 1 m distance. Whereas as a 20W speaker could produce only 97dB sound within 1 m distance. For comparison, train horns are blown at 90dB. Any sound above 90dB could cause earache and permanently damage hearing. Nobody plays songs and videos at that sound. As the distance increases beyond 1 m, loudness also decreases.So unless you are not looking for a party speaker or something for an outdoor gathering, a speaker below 10W is sufficient. I am NOT talking here about how loud a speaker can get. There is no point in getting a speaker that is just earblastingly loud but lacks any clarity of sound.So yeah. I am completely satisfied with this one. Try it; you too might be.

Waste. Waste.. Waste....I am extremely disappointed with this speaker. I bought it expecting powerful, clear sound, but the actual performance is far below expectations.The sound quality is weak, the bass is disappointing, and even at higher volumes the audio lacks clarity and depth. It simply doesn't deliver the premium experience that was advertised. For the price, I expected much better performance.This purchase has been a complete waste of money. I regret buying this speaker and would not recommend it to anyone looking for good sound quality. Unless the company improves the product significantly, I will avoid buying from this brand again.

I have an office space with customers waiting, quite a big room and I needed to play music. You should definitely buy it if it’s interior use as you cannot call it extremely loud for an outdoor party but YES inside ? It’s loud enough and more that, it talks quality of your selection with so much of crispness in music without missing a beat (unlike many other even expensive brands that loudly plays out a mono stereo kind of music ; while Sony plays it beautifully balancing volume and beauty of every sound

I ordered this speaker and received one first, but it has very low sound, and when I checked the reviews, all were mentioning it. But for me, the sound was too low; it can't even fill my small room. So I went ahead for a replacement on half mind as if it's the max sound and device isn't faulty it will be bad. But after the replacement, the new one is loud and perfect for my use, which is a small room for personal use. Turns out the first one was faulty. Completely satisfied with the new product.

Sound is on a bit lower side, do not buy if you are expecting speaker with a loud sound

I have been using this speaker for more than a month now and love this for its intended purpose.Sound quality: It has the typical sony sound signature, the mids are good and vocal is clear trable is decent but the bass is very good. It has deep punchy controlled bass not the boomy one(obviously it will not shake the wall of your room)Build quality: It has very good build and rubber like plastic on the surface with is good to touch and the strap is very useful for hanging.Loudness: it is the reason for most of the negative review. It has good volume for intimate listening and bathroom use but if you are looking to fill a room with decent volume than it will disappoint you.If you want this same form factor but a little lound than you can consider jbl go 4.Connectivity: bluetooth connectivity is good and doesn't drop the connection automatically and i don't use the calling function although the mic is goodIf you want a speaker for intimate listening then go for this one, under 2000 it is a still deal.

I love the sound. This little Bluetooth speaker cost me a little more than half a Benjamin and turns my smartphone into a respectable sound system. Plus, it’s compact, portable, battery powered (for approximately six to eight hours at high volumes w/quick recharge using the newest standardized rechargeable/data connection that has a small, rounded-rectangular “pill”-shaped reversible plug), waterproof, and incredibly drop-resistant. When I drop it, instead of worrying I tell myself, "Relax, it's a Sony, it will be fine," and it always is. This is actually my second one. I dropped the first speaker many dozens of times over the past four years (easily 50+) and it continued to play flawlessly.What finally pushed me to replace it wasn’t normal wear and tear. During a cross-town move from Brooklyn to Manhattan, I carelessly packed it in an open box. A sudden stop from the moving van bounced it out of the unsecured box, and a heavy table ended up resting on top of it. Amazingly, it wasn’t crushed or dented. The only issue was a slight decline in sound quality at higher volumes — the bass was no longer as clean.Considering what it survived, I was thrilled to find another one just like it for sale on Amazon. Because it’s affordable and so durable, I kept the original as a backup and bought a new one.

Really good sound. Solid bass. Perfect for around the campsite or in the office or bathroom. Not really loud but more than loud enough for the intended use.

Este parlantito es pequeño pero funciona muy bien, se empareja facil y rapido, tiene buen volumen, la calidad de audio es muy buena a pesar de que solo tiene un driver, el bajo tiene buena pegada sin distorcionar, los medios se escuchan bastante bien y los agudos estan controlados. Puedes ambientar una habitación o una sala, incluso una reunión de menos de 10 personas. Si deseas ambientar una fiesta en area exterior si debes buscar otras alternativas, para uso personal ya sea en area exterior o interior esta perfecto. Yo lo utilizo para escuchar musica y podcasts desde mi escritorio y wow de 10 el parlantito.NOTA para Audiofilos: En este tipo de parlantes el audio se escucha algo comprimido, hay mas ganancia en el Bajo y aunque esté controlado y no distorcione se mete mucho en las otras frecuencias, los medios estan regulares y los agudos estan redondeados. Ojo no es defecto, es una característica de este tipo de parlantes bluetooth comerciales no importa la marca, el tamaño o incluso el precio, estos estan enfocados para un disfrute musical diferente. Si buscas Hi-End en audio hay todo un mundo de monitores de estudio, DACs. Amps que puedes investigar que te van a brindar otra experiencia musical.Saludos desde MTY México.
