Fantastic pin pointer. Had no issues and does what it’s supposed to do. This is a high quality pin pointer. Far from junk and its performance is on par with higher priced units. I purchased to locate set screws that I lost in the dirt for my solar panel array and found them in 5 minutes. A new addition to my tool box now.

My wife purchased a metal detector for me a few months ago. Being new to it I started doing a little research and I am very glad I bought this pinpointer! They should sell these with the detectors because you will do a lot of digging and sifting if you don't have a pinpointer to narrow your search. I have only used it a few times for maybe a couple of hours each time so I don't know how long the charge will last if you plan a day of detecting. I also turn mine off after each dig until I get a ping from my metal detector. The attachment piece (Velcro strap) works with my pole. Not having to find a hand or pocket to store it is nice. Very easy to clean up as well as charge.

I lost all of my equipment in a house fire. When it was time to replace my pinpointer I decided not to get another orange $20 special. Looking here on Amazon, i scaned the ratings and reviews and chose the Hazlewolke Pinpointer. It wasn't $20 but it had features that put it out in front of others that were more expensive like Garrett and Minelab pinpointers. My pros: Waterproof to 10' and that should be sufficient for creek beds or sandy beaches where a splash or two won't damage it. Rechargeable with the included USB C cable in a USB chargeing port. It has the feel of quality and substance at 11 oz. It has a built in LED light with 5 brightness levels. I don't detect at night but in an overly shady area it should help with seeing down in a hole. The LCD display is not huge but it is easy to read the 3 user controlled settings and charge level. Others have mentioned the two buttons used for On/Off and Mode changing are a little stiff and I concur that they are but not to the level that they are bothersome. It also comes equipped with a lanyard, pouch and a rubber shaft mount for easy storage. It can't be stored in there when it's turned on. It senses the metal shaft. My first time turning it on was startling because it sensed my wedding ring immediately and gave me a strong and surpriseing vibration responce. The sound is also strong and noticeable. I haven't put it to a daylong test yet but the short outings have made it a pleasure to use. The modes and sensitivity are adjustable but I haven't had any ground interference to warrant me taking it off the Max setting. My only con if it is a con, is stiffness of the buttons which should soften after some good detecting outings. Overall , I give it a 5 star rating because I can't give it a 4.5 star. The price is acceptable because of the flexibility of controlling all aspects of detection to pinpoint the treasures I seek. I think you will find it a great value for the extra money.

I’m gonna give it 4 stars for now. I haven’t really been able to use it except for around the house. But so far it works great dry. I plan on trying it underwater when the water warms up. As long as it doesn’t malfunction after the underwater use, I plan to update this review to 5 stars.

Used it a couple of times in the first month. I went to use it again after leaving it laying around in my house for 5 months and it was dead. Wouldn't charge. Tested multiple chargers/cables. No signs of life. When it worked, it was a 3 star product at best. It's sturdy but frustrating to use with the tiny screen and VERY hard to press buttons (holding them is damned frustrating.

A long lead time, $60 part fell off my rototiller and was spun into deep dirt. This $30 wand found it in less than a minute. I found that it also could locate commercial sprinkler heads with just a few metal screws in them. It won't find cheap plastic spray heads, but it is a handy tool in a pinch.

Very pleased with item. Great battery life, and locates very accurate. Pinpointer is exceptional value for the price! Would buy again without hesitation!

So I took it too my trailer park which has a small lake with a beach on it. The metal detector worked great and I had no issues and I went down aavkur 10 to 15 feet with it. The thing seems very sturdy and durable as well.

Was working well for 8 months. Then the start screen froze on the pinpointer and it wouldn't go back to the screen where the modes are displayed. Left it as is for 3-4 days till the power completely discharged and turned off. Plugged it in and recharged it .. and voila back to working good again !! Took it out in the field for couple of hours and worked as good as before.

I bought this pinpointer and it has made locating targets so much faster. The fact that it is rechargeable is a huge advantage; I love not having to constantly buy 9V batteries. The battery life has been impressive so far, lasting through several long trips on a single charge. It is very easy to operate, simple enough for my kids to use without frustration, but accurate enough for serious hunting. We tested the waterproofing in a shallow creek, and it held up perfectly with no issues. The build feels rugged and durable. Highly recommended for anyone starting out or looking for a reliable backup. Helped locate a lost ring in the central vac.
