We have two and this is our favorite
I have two different toilet seats like this, and this is my favorite of the two. It does not have the magnet as it described, and the toddler seat does not close slowly, but that actually is better for the kids because when they are in a hurry, the toilet seat does already down and they don't sit and accidentally fall in. The toddler seat is also completely removable. The toddler seat is also a bit smaller than the other brand I bought, and that is nice especially when we started potty training at 15 to 18 months. The only drawback is that it is removable and could possibly come off, especially if your kids pull on it, but we didn't have that problem.

Works great!
I had to watch a you tube video of someone installing a toilet seat on a toilet that sits flush to a wall ( they use the same hardware as this seat) to really understand how to attach this toilet seat. I think the type of hardware to attach these is more common in Europe, I've never seen it in the USA. Once I watched the video though, it was easy to install and is nice and tightly attached to the toilet. Perfect for my little potty learner and so glad to be done with smelly potty seats that have to be taken off and on. Only wish I had gotten this 3 kids ago!

Difficult to install, slides around easily.
Very nice idea, VERY poor mechanics. Difficult to install. After a couple months the seat became very loose. Tightening was just as difficult as the install. Very difficult to clean. There are tiny slits at the base of each seat that urine can run down into. I could fit a wipe into clean it, but could not get all the way to the base. I'm not sure if the ones at home depot are any better, but I do not recommend this product. The sliding seat scared my toddler and would not hold in the up Position for my older son.

A Cheap Price Yet Solid Performance and Features
I have been using this product for about two weeks and I am so far pleased with its performance. My shopping criteria was that the toilet needed (1) a built-in training lid, (2) slow-close capability, and (3) a cheap price - this product met all three of those points while not sacrificing reliability (at least, as far as two weeks of experience can suggest). A few random observations: (1) The top lid and bottom seat is a "slow close" but the training seat is not. (2) The training seat is held to the lid by a magnet so there is no issue of it falling down. (3) The seat features a "quick release" from the anchored pins which are fastened to the toilet bowl to allow ease of cleaning. (4) Directions for installing these anchored pins are a little vague but it's intuitive enough that you can fill in the gaps without too much difficulty. (5) The anchored pins can be rotated and slid in a radial direction to position your seat anywhere to ensure it aligns with the front edge of the toilet basin; it may take some trial and error to get it just right. (6) I would classify the toilet seat as a "pure white" - my toilet is an off-white so the color difference is a little noticeable, but that doesn't bother me. (7) The covers for the anchored pins are a slightly "cooler white" which differs slightly from the seat itself; again, this doesn't bother me and I imagine one could simply spray paint it to their desired shade. (8) It comes with a feel soap holder but the color is a random "pastel" shade which doesn't match my color scheme; this will work for some but not for others. In the end, I am pleased enough with the product that I ordered another seat for my downstairs apartment as well - I think that's the highest praise anyone could possibly give for a product!

Flimsy and ill-fitting
The Umien toilet seat with child insert is flimsy and does not properly fit our American Standard oblong toilet despite the seller/manufacture’s claim that it would fit. The plastic insert for the long thin screws that came with it doesn’t fit into the holes properly. I had to bend the ends a bit to flare out the bottom so I could insert the end cap with holds a small nut. No matter how much I tighten it to get a snug fit (and try to avoid over tightening it), the lid would still wiggle. And not just a little wiggle, I mean slide left and right. This may be due to the design of their suppose universal fit of the hinges. Video attached to show how it fits and wiggles. Not to mention the fact the hinges weren’t flush with the toilet, because again the plastic insert for the screws didn’t fit properly into the holes on our toilet. At first, we thought maybe we could make this work. No. The main plastic seat is flimsy. It is barely 2.25 inches wide around, and you just don’t feel supported when seated. Our old toilet seat was at least 3 inches around at the most narrow portion, and the new one we got to replace this seat is also 3 inches around at the most narrow portion. Never thought width of a toilet seat would matter much, or even 3/4 of an inch. But it does! There’s also the splash guard aspect too. Since this toilet seat was more narrow around, the inside rim of the toilet itself was just right there-so this seat didn’t offer much as far as splash guard was concerned. The child insert seat was also poorly designed and flimsy. You can’t remove the child insert seat, but you can remove the entire seat setup if you need to clean it. All you have to do is flip the whole thing up (lid, child seat and main toilet seat), push two plastic buttons at the hinge, and pull up. That’s probably after you wipe down the hinges which usually collects stray urine if you keep it for that long. Going back to the child insert seat, it was designed with a smaller opening which meant toddlers could do any number on the seat and have stuff not go into the toilet (which is what happened in our house with this toilet seat). We are not big people- between 23 lbs and 165 lbs respectively. Only got this toilet seat in the first place because it was half the price of other seats with a child insert seat. Mistake. This toilet seat failed so miserably and we returned it. Would not recommend this toilet seat.

Uncomfortable
Unfortunately my kids are used to the cushioned potty rings and found this seat uncomfortable. That said, I think the hole is a more appropriate size than other combo seats but the adult seat opening is too large for an average rear. If you are used to wood seats you won't like plastic. If you sit on the lid you can feel it cave slightly. Due to the quick release hinge design, the seat is never quite tight and may slide around a bit while sitting. I wish the oversized hinge plates were white to blend in rather than metal. They were easy to install though. Child seat should be slow close as the child always has to pull it down because the magnet holds it to the lid, but I haven't found any seat that has all three with this feature. I would rather there weren't a magnet as the child shouldn't have to work that hard to potty. I returned seat.

Does it's job
We purchased this when we had 2 children potty training. The functionality was so much better than taking a seat cover on and off all the time. Super easy to install. I feel like the quality is a little cheaper than expected, but it's still sturdy. The size is perfect for little seats while potty training and convenient for bigger seats too!

Best toilet seat for potty training.
I love this training seat. It's the only seat that has been comfortable enough for my 3 yr old to use for longer than 2 minutes. Cons: 1.The installation was a bit confusing because the directions didn't make complete sense, but I'm used to putting stuff together without instructions. 2. The magnet that holds the training seat to the lid fell out and we must have accidentally flushed it. So now when we open the lid, we have to lift the training seat as well to use the normal seat. (Not a big deal) Other than those 2 minor things this is the best toilet seat (we've tried 5) we've had for potty training.

Connection Installation very poor.
Whoever designed the installation of this product wants sacking. Feel totally let down, and waste of my money. Not even had it a Week. I’ve had to reconnect this Toilet Seat about 3 times now. I strongly recommend you look elsewhere.

Super easy and efficient
First of all i want to say big thank you to the seller, very nice person and easy to deal with. The toilet potty training seat was something that i was looking for since my daughter start using the toilet. I found it on amazon on decent price and bought it. I can not be more happier than i am right now, my daughter doesn't call me for help anymore when she goes to the washroom because she is super happy having the toilet seat for her size ("like grown-ups", she says). Thank you again I really recomend this product and this seller.

Just OK.
Toilet seat is flimsy, and the toddler seat does not stay up and falls down. Recommend buying other seats that have a magnet to keep the toddler seat up.

Okay
Pretty good value I guess. The seat plastic is a bit thin and you can see mouldings coming through.
