Danelectro Spring King Junior Reverb Pedal

This is one of those pedals you didn't know you needed until you heard it. I've got several other really good reverbs, but none of them actually have springs in them. It's reservation on my pedal board was confirmed after just a few minutes of playing. YES, it really is a spring reverb in a pedal, and it doesn't disappoint. If anything it Might be a tad too "Boingy", but for me, it just works. Highly Recommended!

It’s an interesting sound. It’s definitely not a straightforward spring reverb (there’s some sort of slight, “not an echo” delay in it), but there is that springy, jangly-twangy reverb tail in it. I ended up returning this because of a high frequency whine which is clearly audible in my system. I haven’t heard anyone else talk about this in any review so it may be unique to my setup. I tried every wiring configuration I could and even disconnected every other pedal. No matter what it remained though it did change intensity with different configurations. It’s a nice reverb sound though, but I wouldn’t put it in the league of a Surfy Bear or a vintage inspired tube unit. Those units are also in different price and size categories, and you shouldn’t expect THAT out of THIS. In a live band situation, the whine shouldn’t be noticeable.

As authentic as it gets. Best spring reverb in a pedal that just gives you tons of flexibility when using amp in a box pedals or an amplifier that doesn’t have reverb tank. Don’t let the small footprint fool you, this pedal has the ability to be ultra springy. Easy to dial in the amount of reverb you need. Highly recommend!
