Like others have said. Well worth the price compared to the cheap plastic versions that blunt, warp and break within weeks. Even though I cut my first batch of chips with the cutting grid the wrong way round with the blunt side facing the potato's it still perfectly cut the chips like a knife through butter. I filled a basin with chips in about 60 seconds that would have taken me 15+ minutes to cut by hand. Was worried the French Fry grid might be bigger than I'd like based off the photo's but with it in my hands now I can see its exactly what I wanted at about Mcdonalds Fries size. Buy with Confidence

We bought this for cutting lots of mozzarella quickly and it does the job very well. It would get through potatoes no problem. It's a bit fiddly to clean because it's quite bulky but can't expect anything else really

It takes a bit of getting used to but once you get the knack it really does make superb chips. I found it best to use the middle of the cutter and not the edge ... ie don’t rest the vegetable on the v rest but use your hand to lightly position the vegetable in the middle of the cutter. Use a punch style to cut the vegetable rather than a squeeze style or it just won’t work well. The sucker feet really work well on top of a work surface and once you have cut your first vegetable it will firmly stick to the surface even if you haven’t applied downwards pressure before you start. I use the term vegetable because I’ve cut carrots with this machine and would expect it to work well with parsnips as well. The firmer the vegetable the better it cuts. Some softer potatoes tend to not pass through completely leaving some squashed residue potato in the cutter and in the pushing block. Keep a toothpick handy to remove residue potato from the push block and clean with a washing up dish brush and paper towel.. My only criticism in its design is that you need a Phillips screwdriver to remove the cutter or change the cutter for one of the three cutters provided. I’ve modified this to have wing nut screws on the cutter and on the push block so it can be dismantled with your fingers rather than using a screwdriver. Beyond this I would highly recommend this cutter but take a while to get used to it and don’t over force when cutting but as I say use a punch action to cut your chips.

I bought this to replace a defective plastic Lakeland chipper that just isn't up to the task. However I wouldn't say this one is really suitable for a home environment as it's not easy to change the different sized cutters. It requires a screwdriver each time. The screws were of poor quality with badly formed heads. It is manly constucted of a cast pot metal type aluminium by the looks of it. The blades do look substantial and up to the task. I returned it to choose something more suitable.

This is great, it's very quick and easy to work with, exactly what I wanted. I have four children and I have very little time. I've been working very fast since I bought this device. I love it.

Absolute rubbish. Poorly made, low quality powder coated aluminium. Not suitable for home use let alone commercial. Poor quality materials, see photos of screws used that lost their thread on first use. Metal coating coming off and little shiny dots of metal on food. I doubt if this is food grade safe. The mechanism doesn't chip smoothly either and needs a huge amount of force.
