Removed a sticky mess in seconds
It's such a pleasant surprise when a product lives up to the hype. Goof Off was simple to use and worked for me immediately. I had several knives that I've used to open packages over the years which left a sticky mess that nothing else would remove. A simple dab on a washcloth was all it took to remove 100% of the mess. I love, love this product. Well done!

Great, but maybe too powerful for some things
I purchased this to see if it would remove seal coating that got splattered on my new garage door. I tested a small spot. It removed the tar very well, but it also removed the paint and caused the surrounding area to turn yellowish. Great solvent for tar/seal coating, but be very careful as it could also remove the underlying paint.

I have used this product before and it really works
I had purchased a smaller can of this that is finally running out so I decided to replace it with a bigger one. This product absolutely works. I was very surprised when I read some of the reviews that say it doesn’t. This is the important thing about using this remover. On tape residue, for example, the trick is to dab some on the residue and let it sit for about 30 to 40 seconds and then wipe it off with a paper towel, wiping in only one direction!!! If you wipe it back-and-forth, as you try to remove it, you end up smearing it more. So always wipe away in a single direction and you will get great results. You may need to dab a little more product on the residue and then wipe it again, making sure it is in one direction. This is one of those products that I may not use often, but it comes in handy on certain occasions so I make sure that I always have it available. I absolutely recommend this particular brand because it is very effective.

Works well on dried paint
Strong smell but it does the job well. Used it to scrape paint off of a aluminum door frame.

Don’t recommend this , buy spray can instead
You get goof off but save yourself in the long run by getting the spray can. Having all the liquid and applying it to a rag you use it up much much faster. Don’t waste your time with this style of the product unless you need it in liquid form. Don’t recommend liquid form of product at all get the spray can
