I purchased this to see if it would remove seal coating that got splattered on my new garage door. I tested a small spot. It removed the tar very well, but it also removed the paint and caused the surrounding area to turn yellowish. Great solvent for tar/seal coating, but be very careful as it could also remove the underlying paint.

It's such a pleasant surprise when a product lives up to the hype. Goof Off was simple to use and worked for me immediately. I had several knives that I've used to open packages over the years which left a sticky mess that nothing else would remove. A simple dab on a washcloth was all it took to remove 100% of the mess. I love, love this product. Well done!

For years I bemoaned the white latex paint splatters on our kitchen's deep-green, hanging plate rack. I couldn't imagine how to remove them without damaging its semi-gloss surface. Goof Off whisked off the white without leaving a residue or harming the green. I've used it on wooden cabinets with the same success. I sometimes use it to remove acrylic paint from my hands after a day in the studio.

I used this product to remove old paint and caulking off my house siding. It worked as intended.

You get goof off but save yourself in the long run by getting the spray can. Having all the liquid and applying it to a rag you use it up much much faster. Don’t waste your time with this style of the product unless you need it in liquid form. Don’t recommend liquid form of product at all get the spray can
