This game is brilliant. We bought ours in July 2021 and it is still going strong despite being outdoors all year round and frequently played. Its sturdy construction and simplicity of design are absolutely ideal for all ages to play. Our grandchildren have been playing with it since they could just walk so, in reality, there is no "age range" - so long as very young children are supervised due to there being a dangling cord, which could pose a risk.We have a permanent metal-lined hole sunk in the lawn that the base fits perfectly so there is no sway when the ball is hit, and the pole can be easily lifted away for lawn mowing.The Sunsport Swing Tennis Set, we think, is much better, stronger and longer lasting than the original Swingball that is mostly plastic. Just BRILLIANT!! If we could give it 6 stars we would!!

Item arrived very quickly which was awesome. Very easy to set up in the garden and instantly enjoyed playing with it. It can easily be taken down and stored away if required. I prefer this in the ground spike pole as we found the sturdiness much better than the water filled versions of swingball. The item is good but could do with a few improvements to make it better. First off the hook that attaches the tether line to the pole is of poor quality. Barely a few games in and it very quickly stretched and as a result the ball line would fly off with the hook not staying in place. Fun at first but quickly began to get annoying having to get pliers out to try and squeeze it back shut. Replacement locking hook purchased solved this problem, highly recommended. Next problem was the ball, it didn’t last long and ripped wide open. Replaced with a new ball hubby had to drill through to attach the line back to it. Not sure how long the new ball will last, but so far it’s holding up. We found the bat handles hurt your hands after a while. The hard plastic wasn’t comfy and I personally found the bats a tad heavy. When the ball hits it has no spring to absorb the shock so your wrist hurts after a while. You certainly ache after a few matches and Voltarol pain gel was sheer bliss to rub on my old creaking elbow joint after playing with the kids. I had a rummage on Amazon and found replacement small proper tennis rackets which solved this comfort issue. They came next day and instantly improved the game. A lightweight bat with a comfy handle and spring shock absorbency in the bat makes it a fabulous game to play now without the need to get the pain gel out anymore. Overall yes I would recommend this item even though it needed tweaks made to improve it. The hours the kids have been playing on it and away from the Xbox is awesome making it excellent value for money.

Only had for a couple of weeks, Shocking product, waste of money, the balls attached to the string flew off, rackets flimsy, the clip that secures the rope to the top bent and opens whilst playing, the maximum height is too low and the connect pole is loose in the socket. Only positive is it’s easy to set up as it pushes in the ground. Should have purchased a swingball pro for similar money.

I was wary of buying this with only one previous review but threw caution to the wind (after checking out the reviewer's other reviews) & I'm very glad I did. All the other swing/tether ball sets looked very plastic-y and didn't have a spike to go in the garden as I wanted. This set is just like the one I remember from when I was a kid - it's sturdy metal, has a spike and is the same blue colour. have only used a couple of times so far but it is great fun and great exercise. Recommended.

This review is going to sound bad but it's not ALL bad. This is a fairly sturdy piece off equipment and better than some of the flimsy plastic alternatives... but it has more than its fair share of faults.This is not as tall as I remember "proper" swingball being when I was little. The string is a bit long too, so the ball drags on the floor, especially when you are playing the "proper" game and not in practice mode. As for practice mode, it's a great idea. It after a little use, the mechanism starts to stick so it's not much better than using the coil... In fact the coil can be better...The racquets aren't the most comfortable to hold so hitting the ball hard can hurt your hand. We have 2 from a plastic set which are much nicer on the hands so we are using them.I don't think this set is really designed for adults to play because we broke the G clip that holds the tether onto the coil within a week of use (it split open with the force exerted on it). I have reattached the cord via the metal ring using a pair of pliers but it's more prone to getting stuck now.It's also not designed for being left outside as various components start to rust quite quickly.But it's better than some...

Got this one instead of a Swingball branded one prmarily because theirs is plastic. This one is brilliant because it has 2 options - play on your own by putting the tether at the very top and it just goes round and round or play with someone else and put it in the middle for the traditional battle.The top bit is especially good because you can play for ages and don't have to keep stopping if you forget and get it to the top or bottom.Kids love it and also works for me without falling over.

Omg so much better than those new types made of plastic. This is so much stronger. The only reason I only gave 4 stars is because the ball flew off the first day then we couldn’t get it back on the thing. Thankfully we had a spare from another swing ball so we clipped that back on. So the ball coming off is a problem

Bought this to try to get my fully grown grandsons to run around a bit without saying the word exercise. I've a feeling any of them over the age on the label will love it. My mind set was however if the weight training is boring have a runaround trying to out bash each other. As it is new I could not comment on durability but it certainly did not look cheaply made. So on a visual alone its spot on.

My son wanted this so bad and would of loved it if it didn't fall apart literally piece by piece. I specifically ordered the more expensive option (not plastic) as i wanted it to last. First off the ball broke off, cracked the first time he used it. I got a new tennis ball and fixed it with an anchor. Then the metal clasp at top broke, i fixed it with the use of a carabiner. This was a remedy for a few weeks. After that one of his rackets broke at the handle. He used the second one as he mostly played by himself. Lastly and my last straw was the metal broke just above the spike that goes into the ground so now i am requesting a product return and refund. I for the record have never returned anything i have gotten off amazon but am pretty diligent at reading reviews of products so if anyone is considering, dont do it! I also would note that when i picked the package up at the post office i also had to pay a duty fee of over $20, i was not aware i would have to do this so be aware!

Ball should swing low on pole when down not sit on ground, otherwise it’s good practice

We’ve been having lots of fun on this toy. Recommended ! the bats are a bit uncomfortable for adults though, but we wrapped the handles and that made it more comfortable
