Leyland Trade - MDF Primer - White - 2.5L

This MDF primer works very well and provides excellent coverage. It goes on smoothly and seals the surface properly, leaving a good base for top coats. Drying time is reasonable and it helps prevent the fibres from raising. The finish is even and easy to sand once dry, which makes painting MDF much easier overall. A little goes a long way and the results look professional. Overall, an excellent primer that does exactly what it’s designed to do.

I bought this primer as I put up MDF boards in my hallway to look like tongue and groove boarding. Primed using this first, then painted over the top. This primer is excellent. It’s really easy to use. Perfect consistency, I used a brush rather than a roller to get into all the nooks and crannies. It applied really well and had very low odour, if any at all. It dried really quickly which is handy as our hallway is a high traffic area and our Labrador is large. I fully expected him to be striped white but it dried so quickly, this didn’t happen. I think it should last well, I have put two coats of Dulux washable emulsion over the top so it should be a hard wearing combination.

Does a fantastic job adhering to mdf wood . I would recommend letting the pant dry multiple days for even better results but a few hours is honestly fine. That can will last me a while so great value for money. I would warn that sometime it doesn’t adhere to well to corners of mdf where there isn’t as much surface to grip onto.

Ich habe es für Möbelbau benutzt. Die Grundierung ist sehr gut für die MDF Oberfläche. Für die Kanten, um ein sehr schöbnes Resultat zu bekommen, habe ich mit Gips Spachtelmasse (Alkohol basiert) erst die Kanten bedekt, geschliffen und dann mit die Grundierung gestrichen.
