Works beautifully on vacuum sealed lids.
I adore using my (Amazon purchased) vacuum lid sealer for mason jars. The only issue is the small lid opener that came with the unit leaves dings in the lid while opening. This jar opener disperses the pressure so there's no ding left in the lid and they open just as easily. I've also used it to open regular screwed on lids that are sealed under a vacuum. Using the opener to gently pry around the lid breaks the vacuum and allows for easy opening.

It's a lid saver
Never thougt I needed this tool, I use to use the a ring to pry them off. Worse case I would use a can opener. If I was careful I wouldn't nick or bend the lid. With this gadget, they come up easily and without knicks or bends.

Follow up gift....
Bought my mom one of those electric canning gadgets. This was a nice pickup to make it easier for her to pop the lids off instead of trying to use her fingernails. Works great for its purpose, and she's able to use it. No complaints.
