Run very small
These run way small. I normally order an XL, but couldn't't hardly get these on. XXL only a little bit better. Otherwise these are nice with a little bit of fleece inside for cooler rides.

Great fit and thick padding!
I selected these tights to wear when mountain bike riding in the fall and early spring. I used the sizing guide to select the right size and it is spot on. They fit really well. The tapered legs do a great job keeping the pants out of the chain and the zippers at the bottom are high enough to make putting them on a lot easier. I really like the 4d gel padding. It provides a ton cushion and is very comfortable.

Great pants but watch the sizing
These are well made and it's nice that the fleece is just the perfect amount to account for a little chill but not overheat you once you get going. The only issue is that these run very small, even compared to my sponeed padded shorts. I sized up one from what I normally would and they barely fit. I could have probably sized up two sizes.

Insulated, but not too Bulky
These are great for the 45-50 degree days when I need a bit more than my standard riding pants. The insulation isn't too thick, but it's noticeable. I definitely noticed a difference in the warmth between these and the uninsulated ones. I'll stick with my thicker pants for the 40-45 degree rides, but no complaints on these.

Order a size up
I have a few pairs of biking shorts, but was interested in pants so that I can ride in colder weather. The big issue with these was the sizing. I ordered based on the size chart, but I could barely pack myself into them (legs were *very* tight and hard to pull them up all the way). This also caused the butt cushioning to feel a little lower than it should have been. They also don’t contain pockets like some others do. The leg bottoms have zippers to make them easier to get on and off. The cuffs do contain some nice anti-slip material. I suspect they will do a good job of keeping you warm in cold/wind, but I can’t say for certain yet. I think if you order a size up, they’ll probably be a good product for you.

Improved padding design
I own one other pair of Sponeed biking shorts, and if I’m honest, they are some of the most uncomfortable cycling shorts I have ever worn. While they are highly rated, I found the padding to be awful in terms of shape. When I put them on, it very much gave me the diaper feeling. On top of that, I experienced chafing for the first time while wearing those shorts. I wore them once and NEVER again. So, taking a chance on these Sponeed full length cycling pants was a bit of a gamble for me. I only have one pair of long pants and it’s getting cold out, so I decided to test these out. I’m happy to say that these are a marked improvement from the last pair of Sponeed cycling pants/shorts I purchased. For one, the cut of the chamois is a lot different. Pictures are included. Green is the previous and blue is the current. The blue chamois is a lot thinner in width, which causes less rubbing against your thighs. The pad also expands forward to the crotch. The padding in this front area is a little less dense than some of my other chamoises, but it may turn out to be ok. I haven’t gone on a long enough ride yet to judge that properly. There seems to be some unnecessary stitching in these pants. They are split half way. Less seams are always better, especially for endurance sports. The seams are also not very flat, so this could cause some discomfort. I’m not sure why a single cur couldn’t be used for the legs since there is no change in material. Lastly, I find the Sponeed branding to be over the top. A symbol and the name one time would suffice. This thing is stamped all the way to the chamois. I don’t like showing up to the trail looking like double-mint twins so for my sake, can we reduce the branding a bit?? Otherwise, it’s fine. Decent layer of warmth. My legs are usually the least of my worries, but these will keep you warm once you get moving.

Order a size up.
I would say that they are good pants but run about one size small so I would recommend going a size up. The zippers by the ankles want to rise up and open other than that they seem like good quality. Low on the hips. But even though they’re low on the hips, they don’t slip down the hips. So the high-quality padding stays in place. It’s some of the most comfortable padding. I haven’t any of my bicycle clothing. I wish they had pockets for my phone.

Decent Tights for Cool, Not Cold Weather
These bicycle tights are pretty snug. They're a little short as well. They're pretty stretchy though which helps. I am normally somewhere between a medium and large. I got these in a medium, but wish I'd gone with a large. So, I'd day these are on the smaller side of true to size. (Order a size up if you're on the fence.) Also, the padding is too wide between the legs, making it bunch up and feel awkward when walking. It is less noticeable while riding, unfortunately the padding does not add much support making me wish it didn't have it at all. The material is lightweight and soft-- feels comfortable against the skin. They look good as well. They aren't very warm though. I tried them out on a 6 mile ride in 40 F weather with light wind, and my legs were pretty cold. I'd normally try to layer them, but they're too tight, plus they have an integral padding. 45F was more tolerable, and were comfortable at 60F so they breath nicely (not too hot). So, I'd say these are good for 45 to 60F. (Above 60F and I'd just wear my regular shorts.) I feel like that's a pretty limited range though. With a little wind protection these would be much better. Wish they had more hi-vis details for improved low-light visibility and some pockets as well. Finally, I noticed some loose threading on the pair I received, so am a little concerned about the quality of the craftsmanship. They were going for 47 dollars at the time of this review which is a good deal for a nice pair of tights, but I have too many issues with them to categorically recommend.
