Perfect replacement
Wish this was a hook and loop instead of adhesive. Its work perfectly. The Portor Cable is a lot stronger orbital sander than either my Bosch or Makita.

Absolutely the exact same as the factory unit!
If you have a Porter Cable 6" Random Orbit Sander where you have to screw on the pad that you attach the sticky sanding discs to, this is the unit to purchase for your sander when your pad gets torn up. This is exactly like the original, it is an actual porter cable backing pad that came with the unit. You will not be disappointed. Amazon is the best place to purchase the sanding discs too. Those sanding discs are made by Dura Gold; the absolute best deal available anywhere I think each box has 50 discs. Remember this is NOT a hook and loop this uses the adhesive based discs only.

Put new life into your Porter Cable orbital sander
After years of service my disk holder on my Porter Cable orbital sander died. The sander was still hale and hearty but missing a vital part. I found this replacement and ordered it immediately as I had a good amount of sanding to do. It arrived swiftly and was installed without difficulty.
