Great field monitor
I had previously bought the Atomos monitor which got very hot during use I returned it. I saw this monitor on Amazon and thought I would try it. I am more than pleased with it. It was almost plug in and use. I am a keen photographer but the screen on the camera is a little small and this makes it a joy to see. Everything is clear although it isn't 4k you can still get a great idea of your picture. The shade that comes with it is great too. It feels a good build quality and the control features are easy to figure out. The focus assist on it is a godsend and I am over the moon with it. Thankyou Neewer for bringing great products at a great price.. 😁

It allows me to place my camera at ground level and see what i'm shooting
If I was going to use it on camera I would change the supplied ball & socket mount as I have too much respect for my hot shoe. This device also allows me to tilt my tripod mounted camera towards the heavens for astrophotography, whilst having the benefit of a7 inch hand held viewfinder.

Room for improvement
If this hadn't been heavily discounted when I bought it I would be a lot more disappointed than I already am. The monitor itself is fine if pretty basic, and does what it's supposed to do, but the peripherals leave a lot to be desired. The manual is printed in light grey (Why? Is black ink more expensive?) and in a minuscule type size, making it almost impossible to read in anything but very bright light. Rather than starting off with how to assemble it and connect it to the camera, it begins with a description of the menus and on-screen functions which seems a bit back-to-front. The ball head adapter is incredibly difficult to set up and the worst part of the package - on my first few attempts, even when connected to the camera via the cold shoe, the monitor just spun round and round on the shoe. Once tightened sufficiently to stop it spinning, it was impossible to loosen without using two hands. I wouldn't fancy trying to assemble or dismantle it in a hurry, and I am seriously considering buying a better replacement from another company. The HDMI cable clip seems a bit of an afterthought and very flimsy. When unpacking I nearly missed both the attaching nut, and the spacer/washer that keeps the clip flush with the sunshade frame. And the cables... the screen itself takes a full-size HDMI connector, and in the box are both HDMI to mini HDMI and HDMI to micro HDMI. But what you don't get is HDMI to HDMI, so if your camera (like my Panasonic G9M2) has a full-size HDMI connection, you'll need to source another cable. There's also a rather pointless AV (red-yellow-white) cable if you're interested in that sort of thing. Still waiting for a sunny day to try out the shade, but that side of things does seem pretty sturdy. A reasonable monitor, but not enhanced by the accompanying package.

great bargain
my eyesight aint what it used to be so needed a field monitor to add onto my canon 5d mk2 as the perfect upgrade but after looking for hours at the minefield of monitors for an affordable price this one stood out. so i went with this one and am really impressed with this piece of kit. screen quality is very clear and loads of functions a new gadget to play with and now i see everything clear as a bell i would definetly recommend it. easy to instal with 1 hdmi to small hdmi cable i was up and running within minutes 10/10 cheeeers

Well done Neewer - I would by again - Highly recommended !!!
F100 Review - Great screen. Lightweight but built quality is excellent. Came with a bunch of cables etc. The mini HDMI to HDMI enabled me to test straight away on my NIkon D7100 HDMI out.. No issues as I TURNED DOWN the volume on the screen before I started up my D7100 in video mode (would have been feedback issues). The screen is very bright and can be used outsie on sunny days with no issue if you use the screen shade (included). Hotshoe mount is strong and tightens fine. Few pointers, there is no HDMI thru/output so you'll need to split the video feed if you want to use this screen with say a caputre card etc. (unless of course the capture card has a HDMI thru/output which you could route into this screen post capture. Well done Neewer I Would buy again.. highly recommended.

It is well built. Display is amazing. Ofcourse there lot of chance to improove it but at this price range. It is the best. Its 7inch extra screen to view your shots. But not just that it has lots of other features like SAFE MARGINE :-which my canon 1500d doesnt have. FOCUS ASSIST FAKE COLOURS CENTER MARKER ETC IMPORTANT NOTE:- make sure you buy batteries n charger for this. You have to buy it seperately as they do not provide it.

This is really a nice one. But issue I am facing now is, as soon as I connect to monitor my touch screen lcd stops working. So I need to change focus point using keys. Apart from that I think rest all are ok.
