El Rey de la Vera-Sweet Smoked Paprika (Pimenton) from Spain 750g

Yep, this is the real stuff. Absolutely no comparison with the "Spanish style" smoked paprika available from Sam's or other common smoked paprika. It's a mild flavor [not hot or spicy], but very rich in deep flavor and oak smokiness. It's like standing near the oak fire they slowly dried these peppers over. You could use twice the amount or more of the other common ones, and never get anywhere near the flavor of this paprika. The metal tin ensures that it will keep much longer, although the metal lid is a little inconvenient, so just put a smaller amount in a glass jar for daily use. The price is good for such a big tin of it. So the rest of my container of the Sam's Club smoked paprika will get used for rub mixes and marinades, where the flavors are all mixed and then smoked or cooked outside. This paprika will be used when I can savor the flavor of it and it can shine through the dish it is used in.

This has a true smoke flavor and smell. Tried local store product, it was smoky but not wood smoke. Metal can will keep smoke. Transfer to small glass container with shaker top and lid. Do not use plastic as oxygen can permeate plastic, shortening life of product.

If you are looking for authentic Spanish Paprika, this is it! The taste is great and it's very affordable. I used this and their hot paprika to make Brava sauce and the tast was perfect! Highly recommended!

El mejor pimentón ahumado, no tiene rival.

The smokey flavor is not that strong as cheaper versions on walmart , after cooked it looses its smoke flavor, other than that it 's just paprika, would not recommend at this price point
