do you have to drill holes at the top of the stair?

If you don't need to fix the ramp to the stairs then no drilling is required, if you do need to fix it to the stairs you can drill holes as required.

Unfolding: When I unfold the ramp, it’s not straight and it comes with a hump in the middle, is this normal?

Would the 8 foot be ok as a ramp for my front porch which is 24"? Hard to push?

The ramp has some give. 24 is high, so the push may be a little difficult (at an incline of 20+%), but doable. It’s a good ramp.
