Didn't Work with my iPhone 16

This HDMI adapter is described as able to cast photos and videos from my iphone to my smart tv. I have an iphone 16. When I plugged everything in, my tv said "no signal". This did not work for me as described.

The cable works fine, but only after I added the power cable along with the HDMI cable. Perhaps I was mistaken in assuming that the power cable was optional. I would have given it five stars if it worked without the power cable.
