Prepac Rustic Ridge Farmhouse Dresser, Brown Dresser for Bedroom, Chest of Drawers with 5 Drawers 18.5" D x 27.5" W x 43.5" H, DBDR-1605-1

I was a little skeptical of buying a dresser that I had to assemble but what I got far exceeded my expectations! The finished product is a fantastic piece of furniture, sturdy and elegant. Took about 3 hours to assemble but required nothing more than a screwdriver and a hammer. Instructions were crystal clear and easy to follow! If you are worried about the build process, don't be! This is not a piece of Ikea furniture, this is a well built gorgeous dresser!

Very nice chest and took a little over two hours to put together. If you follow these rules you will not have any problems assembling this item 1) read all the directions first. 2) separate all the parts and place in individual bowls. Look closely as some parts can look to be very similar. 3) lay out all the parts and be sure to label what is left or right, up and front. You should have a cordless drill for most of these projects. And finally, take your time. If you can't figure out a certain instruction, stop and go have a glass of wine. Remember it is not how fast you put it together, it is what the final product looks like. Looked forever for a dresser, decent price and standard 5/6 drawers. Saw this and purchased. Did not realize it was just pegboard and not a sleek finish on inside of drawers (my fault). However, that does not make this ‘rustic’ it feels so cheap! One cam lock broke through the back of the dresser, so that was a thing. It’s all around cheap, very easily breakable, and the instructions were GARBAGE. I did this with my sister, we have both put together multiple pieces of furniture and this company made it SO MUCH HARDER than any other one I’ve dealt with. The parts were separated by maybe 3 bags? So many screws/bolts/etc were thrown together. Back pieces, side pieces, bottom front piece, and middle shelving were NOT labeled so you have to just look at pictures and orientations to put it together correctly. The edges of the dresser are DANGEROUS!!!!! We moved the finished body from hard floor to carpet in the bedroom and ended up with a cut arm from moving it and the slightest friction caused a razor like cut across my sisters arm! I would have returned this garbage but I was just past the return window by the time I was ready to put it together. It will do its job, but this has been the worst furniture experience I have ever had. This is NOT for beginners, or assemble on your own friendly. I do NOT RECOMMEND. I have assembled my own dresser prior and had NONE of these issues!

Well designed. Ease of use. Minor paint damages on drawers. Sharpie, but quality control is weak. Pretty straightforward self-assembly. Should be placing extra screws just in case. Heavy packaging. Package arrived damaged, no damages to the parts though. Packaged well, but imo should be placing extra protection to the side walls of the packaging. Better than Ikea in terms of design, imo. Quality 4/5. Design 5/5.

I have to admit that when I first opened the box, I was overwhelmed!! There were so many pieces along with all kinds of screws and stuff. Thank goodness my uncle was available to put it together for me and all I had to do was be his assistant and hand him the things that he needed. The finished product looks really nice but it does scratch easily so I bought one of those furniture pens for touch ups and that worked really well. I was amazed at how heavy it was since it wasn't real wood. Anyway, it turned out nice and looks great in my mom's room!! Good luck if you are putting it together yourself but you may be good at that kind of stuff so it might not be such a big deal for you! :-)
