Terra Hiker 2 Person Tent, 4 Seasons Tent with Tent Fly, Tarp for Outdoor Activities

I bought this tent in 2018 when I was getting ready to do a 6 month term of service with the Texas Conservation Corps. I lived out of this thing for 6 months, from September to the next March. I never got wet unless it was from condensation. Rain storms, sleet , hail, this thing held up like a champ even when it got gusty. I still use it when I camp. It’s been all over Texas in every part of the start. I went with me to Arkansas twice and Big Bend. It’s breathable with the flaps open, it keeps you dry, never had any problems with the zippers, packs up nicely, it’s quick and easy to set up with the pole system. It’s just too damn heavy at 5.5 pounds or I’d be taking it with me on the PCT next year. It’s a damn fine tent, and it’s a damn shame Terra Hiker doesn’t exist anymore

I have used this tent once and set it up in the back yard a few times and let it sit to see how the fabric stretches. Overall this is a nice tent for the money. Aluminum pole construction with footprint and lightweight steaks. I did find that the tent tends to stretch with moisture and suggest weathering it outside before your first trip so if in a storm things are a bit more tight. There are 3 weather cords included with attachment areas. 2 in the side with the vent in the rain fly and one in the opposite side. I would really like to see an additional loop sewn in in each vestibule to prevent that side of the tent from collapsing due to hard wind , rain, or snow. The vestibule sides on either side of the tent is the weak point. 2 more sewn in weather rope loops would make this a serious contender. You always try your best to set the tent according to the wind but mother nature always wins. The wind and weather will change. The ropes that sinch the bags that hold the tent materials are hard to work with. Ml ore so than other tents I have used. Price point it's a good product. But kissing two attachments for weather lines on both vestibule sides.

The three of us like to take kayak camping trips in the fall a lot. We will usually paddle for several miles and then setup camp for the night along the way. Since all of our camping gear has to be packed away and carried in the kayaks, space and weight is at a premium! This tent is almost a whole pound lighter than the tent we used last year. It packs down smaller too, which is nice because it needs to fit into a dry bag. I tried out the tent in the back yard so it's ready for our fall trips. The tent sets up quickly and easily (I didn't the instructions). It's roomy enough for two adults and our dog (sometimes she comes paddling too). The rain fly seems to repel water when I tested it with the hose. Nice that a fly was included. We usually don't kayak camp when rain is forecasted, but you never know... I really like that it has a access door on both sides. No one has to get rolled over if nature calls in the middle of the night or when one of us wakes up to make breakfast. Great feature! I can't wait to pack for our next trip!

So far, took this on a 2-night backpacking trip in AZ with my wife (have another trip planned to use it in a month or so). Nice and warm, but also breathable. This tent packs down to less than the size and weight of my 1-man tent (bought a few years ago). It was quick and easy to set up and the zippers did not snag. Considering virtually every other tent out there with these specs costs around twice the price, I am very pleased. There is plenty of head room for two people and the two doors/vestibules make it nice for nighttime nature calls. I look forward to taking this tent into the Superstition Mountains in early November. It's a good one. Worth the price for sure.

I absolutely LOVE this tent! I went backpacking for the first time solo last weekend and, of course, got lost on the way to my favorite campsite. I finally made it after dark and this tent was still and absolute breeze to set up. SO. EASY. The pockets in the corners are great, the hook to hang a light in the center is great. Everything is great. I would definitely purchase again. Size-wise, at 5'2" I fit very comfortably alone. Took my lab with me and she had plenty of space to sprawl out. Would probably be tight with a taller man in there as well, but could very comfortably fit two smaller people.

I liked that it has two doors and vestibules, so each camper gets an exit without climbing over the other, and you’ve got room to stash muddy boots or a pack outside. Ventilation is good with mesh panels, and the fly and floor materials (PU4000MM) are more waterproof than many budget tents, holding up well in moderate rain and wind. Where it falls short is in long-term durability and storm performance. The stakes are basic and bend easily, and the vestibule sides could use extra guy-out points for stability in strong winds. Some users also report condensation build-up and the occasional zipper snag. It’s not the lightest ultralight tent on the market, and while advertised as “4-season,” I’d call it more of a solid 3-season option. Bottom line: A great value for casual campers and short backpacking trips, with lightweight convenience and decent weather resistance. Just don’t expect it to handle heavy alpine storms or years of hard use without some compromises.

I absolutely love this tent! Bought 1.5 months ago and have used 4 times already. It is very lightweight for 2 people. Me and my 13 year old daughter fit perfectly and comfortably. The material seems like it will hold up for a very long time and it’s very easy to assemble. The best nights sleep I’ve ever had in a tent. I’m able to pack this in my hiking backpack and carry very easily. Worth the money and would buy again. It has a hook at the top to hang a light. It also has side pockets where I put my glasses when I’m sleeping. We camped in a very heavy area of insects and had not one bug in our tent. My bf bought a very lightweight one person tent to carry in his pack. Because I needed a 2 person tent for my daughter and I, this seemed to fit what we needed as far as weight and price.

DON't BUY IT!! This tent isn't worth the money at all. The zippers and surrounding material are clearly made cheaply....They get stuck constantly and are never hassle free. The rain fly is a cumbersome ridiculous mess that is either flapping noisily in the breeze when the ends aren't staked down, or making it very tricky to enter and exit the tent when they are. When the rain fly is on, the tent has very little ventilation and can get quite hot. The stakes are almost impossible to lower into the ground without a hammer, which is kind of tricky if you are doing some international camping like me and you can't bring a hammer on an airplane. I either had to a) awkwardly kick them into the ground (which required me changing from flip flops into shoes, which took even more time) or b) find a stone to hit them into the ground. Either way, this added a few minutes to the set up time. I took this tent on its maiden voyage onto a very windy sub tropical island and it failed my test miserably--took too long to setup up, left me in a vulnerable position for snakes, etc. when trying to mess with the zippers getting in and out, and just overall wasn't nearly as convenient as my last tent. Do yourself a favor and get the Alps Lynx, it is half the price of this piece of garbage and much more user friendly.

So I needed a freestanding, lightweight tent for a two week hike around Iceland, but couldn't afford a 'brand name'. After a bit of research I got this, and I'm glad I did! It packs up to nothing, can be assembled in about two minutes once you're familiar with it, and took all a wet & windy Iceland had to give with two of us in it without leaking or being damaged. The pegs are aluminium and bend a bit easier than steel, but the trade-off is they weigh only grams. I'm quite attached to it now, thoroughly recommended.

Come tutte le tende viene venduta per 2 persone quando alla fin fine ci sta comoda una persona. Ottimo il sistema di montaggio con struttura intelaiata monoblocco con bastoncini ad incastro. Ci vogliono 5 minuti a montare questa tenda. Vengono forniti anche dei cordini che possono anche non essere usati. Testata una settimana sotto le peggiori condizioni atmosferiche e devo dire che ha resistito benissimo. L'unica acqua che ha visto internamente è quella che ho portato con il giacchetto bagnato, per il resto la tenuta è eccezionale ed il sistema di ventilazione interno è ben congeniato. La tenda ha due ingressi che vi eviterà sbattimenti nel caso vogliate usarla in 2. Ogni ingresso è verandato per lasciare le vostre scarpe all'asciutto anche se il sottotenda impermeabile non va oltre la pianta rettangolare della struttura, lasciando scoperta la veranda. Buon campeggio!

J'ai déjà acheté plusieurs produits de la marque et je n'ai jamais été déçu. Je leur donc fait une nouvelle fois confiance pour acheter une tente de randonnée. Et encore une je ne suis pas déçu. La tente est tout à fait conforme à la description fournie sur la page de vente. Elle prend peu de place et reste légère avec 2,5 kg. J'ai mis moins de 10 minutes pour le premier montage. Une notice en français est fournie et tout est pensé pour un assemblage rapide et très facile. Je l'ai utilisé en montagne et n'ai constaté aucun problème. Elle est bien assez grande pour deux personnes. Il est également possible de rentrer les sacs pour les sacs au pied (je mesure 1m80). Même la hauteur intérieure est appréciable. La tente possède une ouverture de chaque côté pour permettre l'autonomie de chaque personne. Avec ses différentes partie, elle s'utilise tant en bivouac que sur la plage. Par exemple pour protéger les enfants du soleil avec un peu d'ombre et une surface satisfaisante pour jouer. Bref j'en suis très content. Encore une fois , c'est un produit de qualité pour un bon prix. Je la recommande vivement.

Voici une tente de qualité vraiment pratique. Coutures robustes, des sardines de qualité, kit de réparation inclu, un système ingénieux de fixation de la toile par clips, une structure métallique offrant plus de place intérieure, une sous bâche isolante... Bref un très bon produit que je recommande.

I,m sleeping a lot outside and am very impressed with colour, headroom, ease of assembly. Took thurderstorm happily, great torrential rain deflection. Cool under tree in 95 degree heat. Brilliant value for money. I,be had loads of tip brand names in my life, but this tent surpasses them all. I shall be living in for quite some time happily.
