Plug-and-Play Pentesting: AR9271 Delivers Effortless Monitor Mode & Packet Injection
The Deal4GO AR9271 USB Wi-Fi adapter is an outstanding choice for anyone running Linux, especially for penetration testers and security enthusiasts. With its legendary Atheros AR9271 chipset, it offers true plug-and-play support on Kali Linux and other major distrosโno driver installs, no headaches. Monitor mode and packet injection work flawlessly, making it ideal for Aircrack-NG, Kismet, and similar tools. Itโs rare to find hardware that โjust worksโ for advanced wireless testing, but this adapter nails it every time. Performance is rock-solid on 2.4GHz, delivering stable 802.11b/g/n speeds up to 150Mbps, and the internal PCB antenna holds its own in real-world conditions. While it doesnโt support 5GHz, almost all serious wireless auditing is still 2.4GHz-centric, so you arenโt missing out. The included USB extender is a thoughtful touch, making placement and reception even easier. In short, if you want a Wi-Fi adapter thatโs ready for anythingโfrom pentesting labs to old laptop upgradesโthis is it. Reliable, hassle-free, and highly recommended for anyone who needs full Linux compatibility and advanced wireless features out of the box.

Doesn't work if you use the supplied extension cable/stand
Product "kit" doesn't work, let me explain. USB dongle works. USB extension cable works. HOWEVER, the dongle does not properly into the cable that it comes with. Others have mentioned this and it's still not fixed. The reason it doesn't work is that at the end of the USB cable is a female USB connector in a housing that permits it to be vertical. Good for the antenna. However, the top of the stand is "chamfered" at about ~20 degrees and the USB dongle is fairly "thick" (front to back). As a result you can't push the dongle in far enough because it is impeded by the "highest part" of the peak of the dongle holder stand. The photo illustrates this. If you don't mind using your own cable or cutting/filing the tip of the peak, it's a good product. I sent a note to the seller, no response. Maybe a negative score will get their attention.

Included USB 2.0 Extender Hub does not fit adapter.
The adapter seems to be functional, but the USB 2.0 Extender Hub is not usable with the adapter. I'd thought the extender would allow for positioning the adapter to maximize connection strength. But a physical design mismatch between the adapter and hub socket prevents the adapter from plugging into it. i.e. it does not fit, and does not connect. I decided to take a coping saw to it, and found that if you cut off part of the plastic, it will actually work with the adapter. So... if you don't mind correcting a design mismatch, you can actually make it work! 2 stars off for misleading description.
