My little one just turned 5 year old and my wife and l finally found some time and money to set up his own bedroom (it used to be a storage/office space). We've got some kids furniture from our relatives so we just needed a bed. We chose this type of bed because it looks very matched to the rest of the furniture. Almost the same color and nice smooth finish. It's very cool bed and my son loves it from first sight. For now the gate is the coolest part for him. He never jumps over the fence although he easily could, but instead uses the door. He even uses the latch properly, he always closes the door after leaving the bed. He is taking it very seriously... He is being very serious about it. The bed needed mattress and its better to get the 6" thick or less as per recommendation. We use regular twin mattress but there is a little space on each side so maybe xl twin would fit as well. The thicker mattress does not work with the door. The bed came in one, kind of heavy box. Very fast shipping. Assembly was pretty straightforward and the included manual shows everything. Good to use a power drill for faster installation but be careful to not overtight any screws, it will damage the wood. After assembly this bed is pretty sturdy so for a little kid its perfect choice. But please remember: this bed is for kids! Even though it's rated up to 200 lbs. weight capacity, I'm sure no grown up should be trying it out. Could this product be cheaper? I'm sure it could but we didn't really have to buy any other furniture pieces so we didn't mind to pay the money. Overall we are very happy for this purchase.

Sturdy bed for toddler. Plenty of room to roll around and he sleeps so well in it! The doorframe and the screws/screw holes were a little misaligned but we just kept trying til we got it aligned as good as possible.

buy this bed. it was so easy to put together, the instructions are awesome. super great for the price you're paying. We've had this for almost a year now if not longer, it does come loose on the wall with the door but he likes to climb it. nothing a little tighten of the screw can't fix. the wood is good and hasn't snapped since use. the color matched the picture perfectly. easy to move and slide around.

I was scared to order a bed from Amazon but I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of this bed! It was really easy to assemble, it looks great, the directions were easy to follow and my baby loves it.

The wood feels really nice and the directions themselves are easy to follow but actually building it is so frustrating. The holes for the screws done align at all and the nails themselves are so flimsy that they break when you put just a little pressure bc they all get stuck half way in. Once everything is actually screwed it it’s wonky looking but the screws make everything neat it lopsided. Hoping it works out once everything is built but I’m already regretting taking out the box.

I love the look of the wood. Assembly was easy, I did this myself in maybe an hour total (with breaks in between) and I think it turned out great. Instructions are simple, just make sure you don’t strip out the screws cause I can see that happening if you use power equipment. Weight limit says about 200 lbs, but I don’t see why you couldn’t just leave the bottom braces off if you wanted to. Overall impressed at how easy it came together
