Value So Good Its Hilarious
I paid about 35 quid for this. The price I'd pay for a meal with my missus at a value for money restaurant. Staggering when you think about it. Because, despite the bargain bin price it works surprisingly well. When I got this the box it came in looked about the size of a shoe box and I wondered if I'd ordered the wrong item to be honest. When I opened it up there's no doubt I was looking at a marvel of packaging the likes I'd hardly seen before. And whilst one of course understands that this is because the manufacturer - which despite the name is probably something like 'The Lucky Garden Company of Kowloon,' is being parsimonious with the disposable materials, in fact the by-product of this approach is minimal waste. I like that to be honest. So, once assembled we have what is a standard(ish) sized leave vac/blower that due to its low rent price is very lightweight and easy to use. F1 car designers spend millions making a part a few grams lighter. Can I suggest that instead they have the same budget of this company and they will really see some cuts. So being cheap, its light to use and ideal for those who don't have arms like a gorilla. Win, win. In use the thing that astonished me is that it actually works and works well. Really. The only problem is that the nozzle is clearly designed to make the best of the small motor and is thus quite small so that if you bury this in a pile of leaves it will block up. Once you get the hang of not doing that it works fine. Best bit is the blower function. That very same narrow idea is transferred to the underslung blower section and that means quite a powerful jet of air that's more than able to shift most of the leaves easily. And this comes with a decent length of power cord. Honestly, even if you bought one of these a year you would still be quids in. And given that despite the cheapo cost, actually its not badly made means you'll probably get a few years out of this. Amazing.

Good little leaf vac and blower for our small garden
I didn’t think this would work as well as it does. It’s surprisingly good. It does get a few larger leaves stuck in the nozzle on the vac mode but you can tear them up and bit and keep going. It reduces leaves down to chopped bits which is easier to pack in a garden bag and mulch down. I’d be careful vaccing up damp leaves as it clogs the macerator up. I thought they were dry enough, but even slightly damp leaves cause a problem. Had to unplug it and take the nozzle off to unclog it, so just make sure you’re vaccing on a very dry day. The blow function works well to pile the leaves up in a corner as well. It’s strong enough to blow small stones so watch out for any gravel paths. My only complaint is that’s it’s extremely noisy. I expected it to be loud but not THAT loud! Definitely recommend ear defenders or your ears will be ringing afterwards.

Highly effective even with cord
I was after a reasonably priced leaf blower to deal with the leaves dropped by the large oak tree in my garden. I initially dismissed the VonHaus because it wasn't cordless. However, my experience with corded battery tools suggested that I needed to get something with a decent sized battery - cheaper units tended to have poor run time and no "oomph". However, the blowers with the larger batteries cost more than I was looking to pay. I also considered some of the cheaper no name 2 stroke petrol blowers but these tended to be on the heavy side as well as having the faff of mixing petrol with 2 stroke oil. Maintenance would also be an issue with the blower needing to be drained of fuel when not in use during spring / summer to avoid the carburettor getting gummed up. In the end I went for the VonHaus and I am delighted with the purchase. It took a couple of minutes to assemble and it transformed my medium sized garden within an hour. It had bags of power to blow leaves into a corner of the garden. I found that once I had a pile of leaves, I bagged up the bulk of these in armfuls and used the hoover function for the stragglers. The hoover function was effective but don't use this for wet leaves and be careful when hoovering near to any stones / shingle. Downsides? It's a bit noisy. Some might find it a bit on the heavy said but I used its wheels and shoulder strap and didn't have any problems with weight. The electrical lead occasionally got in the way but once I'd worked out where I wanted the leaves to end up, it was quite straightforward to work with the lead behind me. In conclusion, the VonHaus wouldn't suit a professional gardener but is a great value and effective blower for someone with a medium sized garden

When it Works it is Ok - Blocks up too easily.
Updated Review after Couple of Months Usage. It gets blocked up so easily. It does not like larger leaves. I have a fig tree and their leaves are quite big and have a fairly long stem. The blower does not like these. It blocks very easily, means yoou have to take the collecting bag off and try and remove the blocked leaves. The blower function wouldn't work, so i eventually basically dismantled it again and had to unblock it again. Saw that the switch to take it from a vacuum to a blower has stuck so when i put it on the blow function it wouldnt have blown out a candle. Fix it for now, how long for iis another matter, and just when i need it the most. Works great on smaller leaves, apple and pear tress no problem, and makes great mulch - when it works. Too late to return it now so will have to persevere with it. Excellent blower / vacuum shredder. Not had one of these in years, but with fruit trees getting bigger thought i had better invest in one. Plumped for this one, looked a decent price, not disappointed. Used a couple of times, nice and light and easy to use with wheels on the end. Shreds small. Impressed.

Well worth it
This is very easy to assemble, took me less than 5 minutes from opening the box to plugging it in. Yes it's made of cheap plastic but don't let the look and feel put you off. The power of the blower is extremely good, very easy to push around on slabs, uneven concrete and artificial grass, even though the wheels look cheap and tacky they are surprisingly good. Blows the leafs easily whether wet or dry, you have to be a little careful due to the power as it's easy to send the leafs everywhere. The vac is very good, although the end is narrow its still able to cope easily with leafs. It's great that if you accidentally hoover up a screw, nail or hard bit of wood it automatically clicks back on to blow The only gripes I have are it still has some blow when you've got it on the vac setting so loose leafs are blown away instead of hoovered up and it doesn't mulch down as small as I'd like, but they are minor gripes considering how well it works and the price

Good piece of kit. Well priced.
I consider the leaf blower/vacuum a good, well made and designed product. Relatively easy to assemble. I have tried it out and it works well. As mentioned in other reviews it may sound noisy but it is no noisier than my petrol blower. It is definitely good value for the price.

VonHaus Leaf Blower - Great value for money
Really impressed with the quality of this leaf blower. Very powerful, used it the other day to clear my lawn of leaves and it did a great job. Like the way it macerates the leaves into tiny shreds so bag doesn't fill quickly, as my previous leaf blower did. Great value for money and would recommend
