Great quality
Very pleased with the quality. Easy to put together and easy to use. Not too heavy either.

Misleading Manufacturer Name and misleading Assembly Instructions
This Leaf Blower and Vacuum appears to be a good bit of kit but there are issues. First of all the name VonHaus gives the impression the product is German. In fact it appears none of it has ever been anywhere near Germany. It's made in China for a company called DOMU Brands. Why they have to call it VonHaus is beyond me. The second issue is the instructions will probably result in people assembling it the wrong way. I followed them to the letter but realised something was wrong with the way the screws were going in. You have to lie the nozzle down on the opposite side to the diagrams and put the screws in from that side. Look carefully at the hole and you'll see why. The recess for the screw is on the righthand side of the nozzle not the left. The hole is clearly designed for the screw to go in that way with maximum thread contact and for the head of the screw to be flush. If you put it in from the left hand side the end of the screw thread will be turning in thin air. The diagram for attaching the wheel assembly tells you to put them on back to front! There's no way they'd fit properly if you follow the diagram. See pictures. Pic 1 - nozzle positioned as per diagram Pic 2 - Screw going in as per diagram -which is wrong Pic 3 - Nozzle laid down the correct side for assembly Pic 4 - Screwed recess clearly visible Pic 5&6 - Wheel assembly laid out as per diagram -which is wrong Pic 7 - Wheel assembly the correct way round for inserting screw Pic 8 - Wheel assembly in the direction it should go on However, don't let this put you off buying the product. It works very well and sucked up all the leaves I'd raked out of my lawn along with the clumps of dead grass. It's not quiet but neither is the average domestic indoor vacuum cleaner; the noise is a similar level. The bag has a good capacity as the leaves are shredded up as they go in, saving space in the bag. Unplug it before you try and empty the bag as the On/Off trigger is quite sensitive and its easy to accidentally switch on. So far it's proving to be great value for money. Just a shame nobody checked the instructions before they were printed!

Value So Good Its Hilarious
I paid about 35 quid for this. The price I'd pay for a meal with my missus at a value for money restaurant. Staggering when you think about it. Because, despite the bargain bin price it works surprisingly well. When I got this the box it came in looked about the size of a shoe box and I wondered if I'd ordered the wrong item to be honest. When I opened it up there's no doubt I was looking at a marvel of packaging the likes I'd hardly seen before. And whilst one of course understands that this is because the manufacturer - which despite the name is probably something like 'The Lucky Garden Company of Kowloon,' is being parsimonious with the disposable materials, in fact the by-product of this approach is minimal waste. I like that to be honest. So, once assembled we have what is a standard(ish) sized leave vac/blower that due to its low rent price is very lightweight and easy to use. F1 car designers spend millions making a part a few grams lighter. Can I suggest that instead they have the same budget of this company and they will really see some cuts. So being cheap, its light to use and ideal for those who don't have arms like a gorilla. Win, win. In use the thing that astonished me is that it actually works and works well. Really. The only problem is that the nozzle is clearly designed to make the best of the small motor and is thus quite small so that if you bury this in a pile of leaves it will block up. Once you get the hang of not doing that it works fine. Best bit is the blower function. That very same narrow idea is transferred to the underslung blower section and that means quite a powerful jet of air that's more than able to shift most of the leaves easily. And this comes with a decent length of power cord. Honestly, even if you bought one of these a year you would still be quids in. And given that despite the cheapo cost, actually its not badly made means you'll probably get a few years out of this. Amazing.

Highly effective even with cord
I was after a reasonably priced leaf blower to deal with the leaves dropped by the large oak tree in my garden. I initially dismissed the VonHaus because it wasn't cordless. However, my experience with corded battery tools suggested that I needed to get something with a decent sized battery - cheaper units tended to have poor run time and no "oomph". However, the blowers with the larger batteries cost more than I was looking to pay. I also considered some of the cheaper no name 2 stroke petrol blowers but these tended to be on the heavy side as well as having the faff of mixing petrol with 2 stroke oil. Maintenance would also be an issue with the blower needing to be drained of fuel when not in use during spring / summer to avoid the carburettor getting gummed up. In the end I went for the VonHaus and I am delighted with the purchase. It took a couple of minutes to assemble and it transformed my medium sized garden within an hour. It had bags of power to blow leaves into a corner of the garden. I found that once I had a pile of leaves, I bagged up the bulk of these in armfuls and used the hoover function for the stragglers. The hoover function was effective but don't use this for wet leaves and be careful when hoovering near to any stones / shingle. Downsides? It's a bit noisy. Some might find it a bit on the heavy said but I used its wheels and shoulder strap and didn't have any problems with weight. The electrical lead occasionally got in the way but once I'd worked out where I wanted the leaves to end up, it was quite straightforward to work with the lead behind me. In conclusion, the VonHaus wouldn't suit a professional gardener but is a great value and effective blower for someone with a medium sized garden
