Great condition and works perfectly!
Worked right out of the box — very impressed with how well the VCR was packaged and how clean it was. The wrong remote control was included because it doesn’t work with the VCR, but that’s not a big deal since the VCR itself works perfectly. Now my grandkids can watch old videos of their parents when they were kids. Really happy overall! Thank you, Seller, for taking pride in the product you sell.

Works Great
Looks like almost brand new. Works fine. Transferred around 20 HVS tapes to a thumb drive with no issues.

Inexpensive, a bit noisy, but worth it
I've owned 6 Panasonic VCRs, each one better than its predecessor. I am not sure that the same holds for this one, though the price is certainly too good to pass on. If you've owned a Panasonic VCR before then you expect reliability and ease of use. This unit delivers on that...while including 4 heads, commercial skip, a lighted remote (finally!), and the entire bevy of features now standard on every VCR. The real negative is that it is much noiser than the model it replaces; particularly when it is rewinding. We are talking a good bit noise, enough that it makes me want to turn up the TV volume while it is rewinding. I actually went out and purchased a JVC VCR to consider as an alternative, but returned that one and kept the Panasonic becaese the JVC was way too confusing to program. So why did I keep this one? It is very inexpensive, I like the features, and I can live with the added noise. I think this one is a keeper unless the noise will drive you crazy.

Needed thorough cleaning before it would play
The good news is that it works fine but not before I gave it a good cleaning. It played all snow and audio noise out of the box until it displayed an error message. The RCA/Coax connections were rusted, and the inside needed a good air dusting and head cleaning. Again, it is now a working VCR but it needed help.

The VCR players works and plays great!
I am very pleased with the purchase of the Panasonic VCR player! It works great and easy to set up. I have been looking for this type of player for months and ended up returning them. Thank you for a nice working VCR player. It's a keeper.

Faulty functioning and Incomplete information About purchased Item
While the tech people responded promptly to my concerns about the Panasonic PV-V4520 I have found the whole experience and product a major disappointment. Primarily the machine does not/cannot allow the reception and recording of most of the cable channels (some 40 channels) available on my basic cable system. None of the channels I wanted to view & record are available to me. As a first time purchaser via this "retail on-line source" I find it very frustrating that clear and bold warnings are not issued about such things as purchase includes only those items on view. Items not included were the remote a printed instruction booklet. I am likewise frustrated by the fact that warnings were not included about the negative effect that digital broadcast will likely have on reception. Prompt but either incomplete or faulty assistance by techs proved disappointing, frustrating and non-useful advise. I have kept the machine only because it at least can playback existing tapes and was inexpensive. I appreciate the prompt response to my concerns but deeply recent the lengthy time it took to receive this product and the false sense of arrival given the notice that the product was shipped. It did not come in the identified time frame.

Panasonic VCR Renewed
When I received the VCR, I hooked it up like our old VCR without any luck. The picture was scrambled when I turned the VCR on and when I tried to play a tape. I immediately initiated a return with Amazon and printed my shipping label. However, before I returned the VCR to my UPS store, I tried sending the seller an email explaining my problem. The seller (Leo) called me back within a half hour and told me that the VCR was tested before it was shipped and that it worked fine. He was patient with me in explaining how to set it up. He was absolutely a great help and the outcome of the whole situation was that the VCR did indeed work playing a tape and also recording which is exactly what I wanted. So thank you Leo for all your help and your patience.

A reliable unit. I wish it came with an owner's manual but it works well to play a few vhs tapes I still have. The VCR arrived quickly and has no remote but it is easy to push the buttons.
