Premium frame and effortless assembly: The AVASTA Astrid hybrid bike has a robust frame made of high-carbon steel, which is designed for urban durability. It comes 85% pre-assembled and saves busy adults 1-2 hours of assembly time - simply attach the front wheel, handlebars and pedals and go. Perfect for women who want to own an effortless bike. Size inclusive performance: with a 16.5 inch high carbon steel frame and 26 inch wheels, this hybrid bike fits women with a size of 5'2 - 6'0 inches. The lightweight construction (35 lbs) and adjustable seat post ensure smooth rides on bike paths or parking paths. Review: I love my bike! - I’ve been riding this bike almost daily for the last 3 months and absolutely LOVE it. I’ve accessorized it with a cup holder, bell, matching lock that clips onto the bike, and the basket that’s shown in the picture above. I get so many compliments! The bike rides really well. One day I rode about 20 miles in total and it was a great ride. I only gave 4 stars because I have to keep tightening the seat but we did put it together at home so that could be why. I am going to stop at the bike shop nearby and see if they can tighten it and maybe that’ll do the trick. I’ll update my review if so. The seat is comfortable, the tires are a great size, the little light in the front is a nice bonus. I went with my girlfriend to pick up her new bike, and the guy who works at the bike shop loved the bike and was asking about the brand and where I got it. He was even impressed and he works with high-end bikes all day. This is a great purchase. I live in Fort Lauderdale and traffic is mayhem so I ride my bike to and from yoga, to my nail salon, to the beach..I am very happy with this purchase and definitely recommend Review: Nice bike - It was easy to put together in spite of the fact the directions make no mention nor does it show an illustration of how to hang the front fender. I figured it out. You have to remove the front brake assembly and insert the mounting bolt into the front fender hanger and put it all back together.

My Granddaughter specifically picked this bike and she loves it. Install instructions were not straight forward , but it seems a solid purchase. Excellent packing materials.

Works for me as a big guy
I should note that I've never been one of those people that are into bikes, so I'm sure there are things about expensive bikes that I don't know that may justify expensive prices, but I decided to get this bike for myself for some casual riding and possibly for commuting to and from work, and I chose this specific one mainly because I love the look of it and secondly because the price was very good and the reviews on it seemed pretty good. Now, I know that this is considered a "woman's" bike, but personally I don't buy into that nonsense. The only thing that puts it in that category is that it has a step-through frame, which was traditionally made that way some 100 years ago when most women wore skirts and it would make it easier for them to get on the bike. Today that no longer applies, as most women wear pants, and the truth is that a step-through frame adds a convenient way to get on and off the bike. Plus, I prefer the look of a step through frame, and with this particular bike it makes it easy to pick up and carry, let's say up and down some stairs. The one drawback about this so far was the instructions. It came with instructions that are overgeneralized for all sorts of bikes, and basically I had to figure it all out on my own. I did figure it out, and it took me probably an hour and a half to assemble, which would have probably been half the time if the instructions would have been good. Not a deal breaker in my opinion, especially for the price. So far I did one test ride on this bike for about 2 miles and I really like it. The gears seem to change fine, the brakes work fine, and it's held my weight on it. I should note that I'm 6'3" and weigh about 250 pounds. Will it hold up for a year or two? Time will tell. But the first 2 miles went well. ***UPDATE -- Just wanted to write that I'm loving this bike more and more. I've been commuting with it to work regularly for over a month now and have ridden it for over 100 miles so far and it's holding up very well. I initially had an issue with the gear skipping (when I'd want to go from 3 to 4, for example, it would skip from 3 to 5, etc.), but through some youtube videos and my own trial and error I learned how to adjust the derailleur (using only the turning knob, no tools or anything) and I haven't had any more issues with the gears skipping. I adjust the brakes occasionally, but I think that's part of normal maintenance. Also, I upgraded the seat to one that's a bit more comfortable for my size. I love riding this bike, I love how it looks, I love that it's pretty lightweight to carry upstairs and downstairs, and I basically love everything about it. It's beyond me why some people feel the need to spend thousands of dollars on a bike for regular commuting. This bike is excellent!
