My daughter was worried that the symptoms she was feeling might be diabetes. I decided to order this kit in order to check her blood sugar. The kit is super easy to use, a lot less expensive than I had anticipated it would be, and virtually painless. Even when we had to do an extra test to make sure everything worked (on me, of course), it didn't really hurt. I've done finger pricks before, and they were pretty painful. The lancing device had different "depths" to choose from, and the shallowest worked just fine; no pain, but the results were accurate. We can keep this little monitor in the small basket we keep our first aid supplies in, and it takes up very little space, even with the container of lances and the container of test strips. It's all very convenient.

Easy to use, great to use reading is clear If you have arthritis in your hands it might be a bit challenging to get the test strip in. Accuracy great!

Followed instructions to the letter; couldn't get any reading. Screen lit but never seemed to detect any of the blood I was providing to the strip. Maybe it will work for others but, apparently, not for me. Follow-up: Tried again next morning. Since my previous attempt produced only tiny amounts of blood from my finger, this time I lanced a small artery in my wrist. This produced larger drops which resulted in an actual reading on the screen. The number appeared to be reasonable. Therefore, I have added some stars to my review.

Is as advertised

I hate to write anything negative because customer service was excellent. However I have to be honest that the product is extremely inaccurate. My first time using it (I am not diabetic but bought it for curious purposes) I took the readings back to back and got 177, 140 and then 120. I drove myself crazy and lost sleep over this. I kept testing and testing over the following 24 hours trying to figure out what my real numbers were. Finally I messaged the seller and they very kindly offered a refund or to ship me a new one for free. I accepted the offer for a new one. Well the new one just came in and here are the results from the same exact drop of blood at the exact same time. I have now lost all trust in this product and have just decided to disposed of both of them so I can't drive myself insane any longer. One more note- It says FDA certified on the listing, but then the box says it is NOT FDA certified.

I got this for my dad and it’s been really helpful for his daily routine. It’s easy to use, the screen is clear, and the readings seem consistent. He especially likes that it’s comfortable and comes with everything he needs. Overall, a practical and dependable option for home use.
