Birds of the Mesozoic (Princeton Field Guides)

While I may not agree with the author that all these little winged creatures deserve to be called "birds", this is a fantastic book. I hope he updates it in a few years .

This is a book for serious students of dinosaurs, not perhaps the casual reader that I suppose I am. The book is full of good pictures of prehistoric birds, once you get past the rather dry, academic opening chapters. If you want to learn all about prehistoric birds, then this is the book for you--if you can understand the scientific writing. If you just want to look at pictures of those birds, you can enjoy this book, too, but it's really more than a bunch of pretty pictures.

Beautiful illustrations, excellent information. My parrot really seemed to like the cover, which includes one of the many animals mentioned and shown in the text. Great coffee table book for bird/dinosaur enthusiasts ♡ Facinating

I was unaware of the vast array of true birds extant during the dinosaur era! this is a truly awesome field guide style manual in full color. The descriptions are professionally documented, just like being there.

The book contents were fine and everything except for the fact that it was an EXACT COPY PAGE FOE PAGE of another book previously released under the same title but a different cover. I am disgusted with such blatant false claims of new material, especially since no preview images were provided.
