We used the Frida Baby fart-freeing essentials after my baby went two days without pooping and was clearly uncomfortable. A guy friend told us about his sister needing to use something to release the gas from her babies stomach. I had never heard of such. I was skeptical, BUT…WOW! It helped relieve the gas pains immediately by releasing the “wind” & sometimes a “surprise” (poop) would come shortly after & that, I am sure, was also a relief.

This actually worked for my baby! As a first-time dad, I was panicking because my son was so bloated and hadn’t pooped in a couple of days. I took him to the ER, and they assured me it was normal—as long as he was drinking, peeing, burping, and farting he was considered healthy. It took me three tries to get it to work. The first two times, I didn’t insert it deep enough thinking it would hurt him. On the third try, I inserted it as far as it would go and held it there for 10 seconds before removing it. The next thing I knew, his poop started gushing out for what felt like five minutes straight! I highly recommend having a hospital pad or towel under your baby because they will poop a lot—and probably pee, too. Overall, I definitely recommend this product to parents who want to help their baby feel better if they’re struggling with gas or constipation. I almost never write reviews, but if this can help a new parent just like myself, then I hope it makes your baby happy and brings you peace of mind!

I started using this on my baby around 6 weeks old when the painful gad phase hit. These work great, and frankly, I would wash and reuse them over and over. Belly rub helps to do the massage and do the bicycle kick routine. Then insert the tube gently, keep legs pushed down against belly and then move them in circles. It can take up to 10 min for baby to push out all the gas, and yes often poop comes out too, but in 10 min or less, your baby has relief, stops crying and you can go back to bed. Did this several times a day for several weeks, then the gas phase passed mostly. It still came up here and there...but by 7 months not needed at all anymore. I have recommended this to lots of moms...it really saved me.

These came in handy a few times for our newborn. It is awkward at first, as a first-time parent, but my gosh, once you use them once or twice and hear your little one's toot, you'll be glad you tried it! As some point, you will get over whatever it is that's 'embarassing' and just do what it takes to get your little one through the newborn trenches/witching hour! Buy these! Just have them on hand because newborn gas is a very real issue and the little ones need help working it through their body.
