Excellent
Fantastic fertilizer but not consistent with the odor, sometimes no smell and other times terrible rotting smell. It works so well I can almost forget the stink.

Excellent garden fertilizer; great formulation; made in USA; trustworthy brand
I'm very pleased with this organic fertilizer. It's a 2-5-3 formulation that is excellent for a wide range of vegetables. I augment it with fish fertilizer for veggies that need a nitrogen boost (such as leafy greens) but for everything else, this works very well. It's granular and easy to work into the ground (or pot/raised bed). As with any organic fertilizer there's a noticeable odor, but it's not bad at all. It's derived from bone meal, poultry manure and sulfate of potash. It also provides a good assortment of bacteria and fungi species to build and maintain a healthy soil environment. It is made in the USA. I've been a Jobes user for years and none of their products have ever fallen short of expectations. This is no exception -- five stars.

Jobe's Organics 09026 Fertilizer: A Review for Green Thumbs (and Those Who Want to Be)
As someone who loves fresh veggies but doesn't always have the time or skill for meticulous gardening, I was intrigued by Jobe's Organics 09026 Fertilizer. Its organic claims and promises of fast-acting results seemed too good to be true, so I put it to the test in my tomato patch. Here's the dirt: The Good: Organic Bounty: This fertilizer is OMRI-listed, meaning it's certified organic and free of synthetic chemicals. My veggies grew happily without any worries about harsh additives. Speedy Sprout: Jobe's Biozome, a blend of beneficial microbes, definitely lived up to its name. My tomato plants flourished within weeks, with noticeably more vibrant leaves and earlier fruit production. Drought Defender: Even during a surprise heatwave, my tomato plants held strong. The improved soil conditions thanks to the Biozome seemed to help them retain moisture and weather the dry spell. Pest Patrol: While not a magic bullet, I noticed a decrease in insect activity compared to previous years. The healthier plants seemed less appealing to hungry bugs, which gave me some peace of mind. Convenient Caddy: The resealable bag makes it easy to store and use the fertilizer. No more messy spills or lost product! The Not-So-Good: Potent Aroma: Some reviewers mentioned an unpleasant odor. While I didn't find it unbearable, it's definitely noticeable, especially right after application. Be prepared for a whiff of earthy funk. Mystery Microbes: The exact composition of Jobe's Biozome isn't readily available. While it seems effective, knowing more about the specific microbes involved would be reassuring for some gardeners. Not for Indoor Use: This fertilizer isn't meant for indoor plants. So, if you're hoping to boost your houseplant jungle, you'll need to find a different formula. Overall: If you're looking for an organic and fast-acting fertilizer to give your veggie garden a boost, Jobe's Organics 09026 is a great option. The Biozome technology truly seems to work, leading to healthier plants and earlier harvests. Just be prepared for the earthy aroma and the lack of detailed information about the microbes at play. Happy gardening!

Potentially Dangerous around dogs but good product if used carefully
I found out (the hard way) that dogs are attracted to this product and will readily eat it. My dog ate just a small amount and was sick for 2 days. Just be aware and keep pets away. Otherwise, a good fertilizer.

I use this every year on my tomatoes, green beans, eggplants, and various other veggies. Very delicious tomatoes with very little vegetation to remove.

Be careful...I lost my crop. Use only as directed!
I bought this product about a year ago after a bad tomato year. I liked the fact that it was organic and so highly rated. I also bought the Jobe's tomato spikes. I used the spikes in the spring as directed and they seemed to really boost the health of my plants. They were close to 6' tall by mid July and doing great. I got greedy and decided to give them another boost by adding the granular fertilizer. I sprinkled some around the base of each plant and watered heavily. I had a difficult time applying directly to the soil due to the design of my homemade cages and as a result I got a bunch of the granules on the plants themselves. Within 3 days all of my plants started to get burned look - leaves curling, went from dark healthy green to a dull faded green. Three weeks later half of my plants are dead and the rest are on their way. What a shame. I'm sure that reviewers who love this product will take me out to the woodshed and beat the tar out of me with a bunch of "not helpful" ratings. But before you get an itchy trigger finger, keep in mind that I'm offering this as advice - not as a negative statement against Jobe's. I'm giving it a neutral rating. I tried to use the product in a way that it was not intended to be used. My only gripe against Jobe's at this point is that they did not put any kind of statement on the bag warning not to get the granules on the plant or apply to the soil surface once the plants are well into their growth cycle. I would greatly appreciate any helpful comments from anyone who has successfully used this product as a soil additive well into the summer - along with an explanation of how it was applied. I will update this next year if I find success with this product. Thanks! Mike
