After hearing my friend's Bose SoundLink Max speaker at a party at his house I decided I had to have one too. So I purchased it and it arrived today (April 29th, 2025). After unboxing and charging the speaker to full, I easily connected it to my phone's Bluetooth. Downloading the Bose App and adjusting the equalizer settings, I played Augustin Hadelich's Sibelius Violinkonzert and the sound quality was truly exceptional. Clear highs and deep rich base. It is amazing how much sound such a small speaker is able to produce in stereo. I also have other Bose Bluetooth speakers (two Bose S1 Pro's, two Bose Revolve's), but what distinguishes this one is that it plays in stereo as a single unit, the battery life is 20 hours, and is smaller and lighter than my S1 Pro speaker. Easily take it to the beach (waterproof - IP67 rated), parties, or just personal listening wherever I go. The look and build quality of the speaker is also great. The speaker is ruggedly built, is shock resistant, and should withstand every day use. Like the rope handle too. The speaker is well worth the money and I highly recommend it. UPDATE I take it to the office every day and play classical music in the background while I work. Whether it's Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Sibelius, Vivaldi, or Bruch to mention a few, the speaker reproduces the orchestra and soloists perfectly.

Excellent sound quality e long duration battery

That astonishing sound and supreme quality of Bose, in a handy portable wireless blu-tooth speaker. This sucker is HEAVY, but compact. Be sure to get the special carrying case for it (sorry, that's more money, but it's well worth it). I waited until Amazon offered this for a great sale price. Do not pay full list price, as I promise I've seen it heavily discounted several times over the past couple of years. It's worth it at any price, but why pay $499 for it when it can be had for $299?

This has the usual good Bose sound, which is very musical. For its size, it sounds good, but is incredibly heavy, as if it has a lead brick inside of it. Maybe it is that battery that gives it the 20-hour life when fully charged. I use it with my iPad and usually it is on all night playing music very softly. Bose speakers are not exactly cheap, but if you like music and have it reproduced as if real musical instruments were playing, then you are not likely to go wrong if you reach deeply into your wallet and pay for them.

The Bose sound is incredible. Even though it’s a medium-sized speaker, it perfectly meets my needs. Very beautiful and high-quality!

First off, I LOVE Bose and will be a long term customer - however, I feel this particular speaker is a bit over priced and heavy for the output. I bought this after I lost a color link speaker and personally wish I would’ve replaced what I had for much cheaper. If you like carrying a speaker with you, be cautious as this is not the most travel friendly option out there! Otherwise, it sounds great and seems to have a great battery life.

Surprisingly loud from such a small speaker. Great tone and not too bass heavy (thank goodness). It's well made.

Excelente sonido, buen producto, se siente robusta, es un poco pesado, pero los materiales se ve buenos, la conectividad es rápida y eficiente. Fácil de usar y de verdad me sorprendió el volumen en espacio abierto. Sin duda una buena compra.
