Great wading shoe except size on label is almost random . Find your size . Get these,.
The Frog Toggs Aransas 2 is an excellent wading shoe. First, it is easy to put on. One can wear a polyester sock or thin neoprene while wearing the shoe. The zipper closure is well built. The shoe has exceptional traction. Now, the Bad: the sizing of the shoe is purely random. I wear a 12. But, after returning a 12 which was actually about a 14, and an 11 that was no different , I wound up in a 10.5 which is still a bit big but I decided to add an insole and wear thicker water socks so they fit and are comfortable. If you wet wade to fish , these Frog Toggs wading shoes grip wet rocks, allow you to hike to the stream in comfort and safety and protect your ankle while giving extra ankle stability. Just prepare to use trial and error to get the right size. Update after multiple uses: I love these . So easy to put on and off. I use them to wade while flyfishing and the sole grips the bottom very well. The ankle support design works well. These are also great for hiking up and down slopes to the stream. For comfort, do add a sport, waterproof type insole which makes your feet happy at end of fishing. These are 5+ stars after you get the right size. Update: Used these for a season and boots are like new. Excellent wet wading boots for all type stream bottoms. Also, excellent for the hike down to the stream which can be much more difficult than the wading in the stream. I recommend putting a gel type insole for added comfort. Now 2 years later ...2023....I have used the boots for several seasons and they are still in great shape . The sole is in like new shape in spite of wading and walking on rocks during every fishing session. The grip on rocks continues to be outstanding . Great ankle support and boot shape are still there. These boots hold up.

Lighweight wading shoes; almost perfect!
I ordered a men's size 7 and I'm usually a women's size 6.5. It fits perfectly and it's lightweight except the zipper won't close all the way to the top when I wear my waders because wader is made of thick neoprene material. It is okay with other lightweight material waders.

Good value, poor zipper quality
BLUF: The zipper constantly comes down, allowing water to seep in. As a new angler, these did function great for multiple fishing trips requiring alot of hiking. They were comfortable to hike in and held up well, but as soon as I got in the water, the zipper would come down. I still have these as backups, but I ended up buying more expensive boots as my main pair.

DO NOT BUY
DO NOT BUY Terrible quality, waste of money. Beginner fly fisher, first off, they are such a random size. I ordered a 13 and they fit like an 11. I’ve worn them a handful of times and they are completely demolished. I’ve not been rough on them. Both boots have torn down the side rendering them useless. I bought the waders and they’ve held up great.

Excellent, and expensive boot for flats wading
Used for flats fishing. I have flat feet and was worried but they were reasonably comfortable after waiting 6 to 8 hours. I had neoprene socks, which cushioned it and made a great pairing. A good amount of the waiting and hiking was on limestone that have been sharpened to extremely sharp edges. These boots handle that absolutely fine. No issues at all in sand and muck. Hopefully they will give me several seasons of good use, but I’m absolutely delighted at this point.

Tough and reliable water shoes
Love these shoes. Wanted something water resistant for when I kayak fish but also rugged if I’m trekking through brush and looking out for sharp sticks or snakes, because I will sometimes get to isolated areas and get out and bank fish. Doing so means you step directly in mud and water sometimes. I have found my feet surprising and completely dry after doing so to my amazement. Heads up these do run a little big so consider getting a size down. I sometimes wear a 13 and got these in 12, probably could have gone with an 11 but like to too much to send back and work well even a little loose.

Nice while they last.
Like most Frogg Tog stuff, these boots were pretty good for a couple of months, until they crapped out. I bought them for surf fishing, so a I can be hard on my gear. I used them for the beach over my stocking foot waders. They fit well and werent to heavy for walking miles of beach. The were pretty good at keeping sand out, but after a few weeks, the stitching started to pop. I bit the bullet and bought boot foot waders for the beach.

Good for cruise excursions
Bought these for an Arctic adventure cruise. Size was accurate. Easy on and off. I put in my own cushy shoe inserts and used them instead of the cruise-issued mandatory Wellington style rubber boots for getting in and out of zodiac boats during daily excursions ashore. (Have to be waterproof because stepping in light surf) Many other guests told me they wished they’d brought similar boots because they would change to other footwear once ashore. They were so much more comfortable than rubber rain boots for hiking rocky and sandy terrain. But, also stylish enough to walk around town. Great value for price. But not warm enough to stand in ocean above the Arctic circle without two pairs of wool socks!

Rubbish - fell apart after a dozen uses
Only used these a dozen times and the right one split. A day or so, later the left one also split. I deserve a full refund.
