I’ve been using EZVIZ products for a while now, and I have to say—this doorbell is one of my favorites. One of the biggest reasons I chose EZVIZ is that you don’t need to pay for a subscription to store your videos. Just pop in a microSD card and you're good to go. It records everything directly to the card, so there's no need to rely on the cloud (unless you want to, which is optional).That was a dealbreaker for me. I’ve tested other doorbells where you had to pay just to save or even access your videos—some didn’t even allow recording unless you subscribed! With EZVIZ, that’s not an issue at all.I’ve also got a few of their security cameras around the house, and I stuck with EZVIZ for the same reason: no forced monthly fees and solid performance. I can travel anywhere and still check the live feed or recorded clips from both the doorbell and the cameras straight from the app. The SD card keeps recording based on how you set it up, and it just works.The app itself is super easy to use too. I’m not a tech expert, but setting things up and managing everything through the app was simple. You can control the cameras and doorbell in one place, which is convenient.Long story short, EZVIZ makes great gear that doesn't nickel-and-dime you, and the app is solid. These days, whenever I need a new camera or smart home gadget, I always check if EZVIZ has something first.

I had the older model for about 5 years and it finally was clicking. The new model is nice. I was replacing mines so installation was not an issue. It even works with my chime doorbell...which i could never get the old one to do. Video is clear amd SD card means no subscriptions

Great doorbell ezviz always has great cameras I have indoor and outdoor security cameras with ezviz love this company and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great alternative for security reasons and the bonus is you don't have to pay a monthly fee if you record to SD card definitely recommend ezviz cameras

Installing this doorbell camera was pretty similar to installing my previous doorbell camera. The only thing that surprised me was that I had to use the two lead wires that came in the box between my existing wiring and the doorbell to get my mechanical chime to work in the house. Before I connected those lead wires, the mechanical chime would not work. Total time to get it installed was 1-2 hours. It would have been a lot faster if I had just used the lead wires first.I have two EZVIZ security cameras outside my house that I'm a big fan of. I get timely notifications from the app and the person detection is pretty good on them. For some reason, on one of the cameras I will sometimes get notifications if it's raining really hard or snowing at night.The other night, it was snowing and the doorbell camera notified me that it had detected a person. The doorbell camera has also notified me for different animals that have walked across my front porch (a squirrel and a cat). It is currently set up to only notify us if a person is detected. If they updated the software so it would stop misidentifying animals and snow as a person, I would give this a 5 star review. This seems to be a problem across multiple EZVIZ devices, but it's one I can live with because of how well they perform aside from that.
