Absolutely adore this product, it does exactly as advertised. Those who have written that it strips your hair and requires conditioner are correct. But that is what this product is designed to do. IT WILL take off any product, oil, and calcium water buildup that is making your hair impossibly dry and brittle. I mixed it with the rose clay conditioner and it's literally the best!! My husband works on a construction site and gets dust and silica buildup on his hair weighing it down and making it difficult to brush (he has really long hair like me). I struggle with dry hair that gets tangled easily. This shampoo plus that rose conditioner are really a powerful duo and I cannot wait to try this brands other products. I originally found this product through my mother who bought it because this is the only good brand that had witch hazel in the shampoo. I used her products from this brand in the shower and wow, SOLD immediately. Yes yes yes! If you aren't looking to clarify your hair, check out their more relevant and gorgeous products.

This is honestly one of the better shampoos I've tried. My hair goes through phases of being very frizzy with other shampoos, and I think that has to do with a buildup of minerals from the hard well water we have. The witch hazel in this product eliminates that mineral buildup and leaves my hair and scalp very clean. When I wash with this shampoo twice, use a conditioner on the ends, and a higher end leave-in frizz protection creme, I can blowdry and straighten and it often leaves me with close to salon quality hair. This also keeps my oily hair under control and non-existent for the first 48 hours. Would recommend.

I gave this five stars for the product. My hair looks and feels great after washing with this shampoo. I have the conditioner too. I only use a little, my hair type gets flat. I’m over 50 and highlight my hair ( just to blend the white in) I’m a blond. I’ve tried every shampoo, conditioner, and multiple other hair products. My daughter originally gave this to me to try ( her hair is not like mine, she has thick and luscious hair) I was sceptical, it works well. Not to harsh, and I have plenty of body. Cons: The name may be a bit of a turn off. Unable to find anywhere ( not a prime item) price is good, shipping price, not so good. If you like fruity shampoo’s this one’s not for you. It’s unisex for sure, you can smell a tad of witch hazel, I’m good with it. I think it’s worth a wash rinse and repeat~

I really enjoy this shampoo. I have been using Witch Hazel products for about 3 weeks now and naturally I was drawn to Shampoo and Conditioner as well. My husband has eczema so I am pro-actively looking for natural way to combat it. I can definitely see how some people might be put off by the smell. To me, it smells old fashioned it and it is strong. At first I really liked the smell, it smells clean but after time goes on for some reason I am getting tired of it. I haven't really noticed any difference with the eczema but we are using other witch hazel products too. I will say that my hair feels amazing. My husband has long hair as well and I can tell a big difference even in his hair. I would definitely recommend this product.

This sure works --- you might even have to add moisture back to your hair. I loved the unusual scent. I tried using it on my old synthetic wig to get rid of product buildup. It worked, without damaging the wig fiber, and the wig looked better afterwards! I used it on my own bio hair with mixed results. It removes natural oils and product buildup, but it also mats the hair. So then you really need a conditioner. Okay ... I like shampoos that do NOT require conditioner afterwards, to save time and patience. But I'm glad to have this tube of shampoo, and will be buying it again.

I love this shampoo. It makes my hair soft and super shiny, and before I started using it my hair was a real frizzy mess. Honestly, after the first use my hair looked 100% better. I avoid products with added fragrance because guess what? They don't have to tell you what chemicals that fragrance might be made of--all the ingredient list will tell you is that one word--"fragrance." This shampoo doesn't need anything like that, because it has a pleasant smell from the lavender and tea tree oil, and it's subtle. People won't be able to track you down by any strong smell coming off your head!

Witch Hazel Shampoo by The Grandpa Soap Company gently but thoroughly cleans my thick but fine, wavy hair. It removes regular and product build-up without stripping my hair. This shampoo leaves no unwanted residue; it contains no SLS or silicones. My hair is left soft, bouncy and shiny. This shampoo also has a pleasant natural fragrance.

I recently switched from a budget SLS shampoo to this one after being recommended it by a friend. The witch hazel nicely clears out product buildup, and the scent is lovely, not an overbearing floral smell. Although I notice that I do have to use a little more product to get my hair feeling sufficiently clean, I was surprised to see my natural curl pattern coming out, while experiencing less frizz. I'm loving it so far, and time will tell how healthy my hair will become after going sulfate-free.

Good shampoo. It got rid of the red scalp, but a lot of my hair fell out.
