Reliable
I use this adapter to connect my mixer to a computer and I haven't had any issues with the adapter in the several years I have been using it. It is mostly stationary, I only moved the setup about a dozen times, so I'm not sure how well it would hold up in more strenuous live production environment, but it works great for home use.

Works great, good buy if the price is right
I bought one of these about four months ago as an "Add-on Item," and it cost me less than $2. For that price, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Heck, you really can't go too wrong for $2. :) However, it's a nice breakout cable that is easily worth that. It worked just fine for my application, with no signs of loose connections or anything else being wrong. A solid cable at a nice price. I've purchased other Hosa cables and have been happy with all of them. As I write this review, though, they are now around $7. That's higher than I'd want to pay for it, but I think that you'd still get your money's worth. However, if you aren't in a hurry, I'd say add it to your cart and give it a little time to see if the price drops.

It's good.
The cord length seems alright, but I'm not necessarily using it over a large distance. Maybe a couple inches, but it's all I really need.

Great for the Focusrite Scarlett Solo
Bought this to play a pair of desktop speakers through my Focusrite Scarlett Solo audio interface and it worked perfectly. Just plug and play.

Let there be balanced stereo!
I have an incredibly old (20+ years, at this point!) 2.1 computer speaker set up for my desktop. Rather than connecting the 1/8" plug directly into the jack on the back of my computer, I use a 1/8" female to 1/4" male adapter to my USB audio interface line out. Over the past few months, the right speaker has been getting quieter and quieter, and I was getting sick of changing the L/R balance in Output Settings only to have to change it *back* in order to use my headphones, so I figured it'd be about time to upgrade the speakers. (Which, regardless, it almost certainly is.... But I digress.) Come to find out, the cheapo no-name adapter I had been using had developed a quirk where the right channel popped out about 1/16" and wouldn't stay in. I switched channels and the left plug stayed in, no sweat. I used a magnifying glass to try to identify any difference between the two plugs and came up with nothing. So, the Hosa cable to the rescue! Since hooking it up, both my left and right speakers are singing in perfect harmony and I can rest easy knowing that when I get new speakers, I'll be all set if the adapter's required. And if it isn't, at least I'll have a functioning cable to throw in my Rubbermaid container full of random cables and cords that I keep on hand in case I need to Frankenstein up some audio solution.

Excellent line-out to headphones connector
An excellent well made 3.5mm jack to phono connector, I needed to connect headphones to a line (phono) output and this does the job perfectly, note line outputs are normally at a pre-set level but on the freeview set-top box I'm using the volume control also controls the line out level, check your requirements before buying. For those confused by the TRSF terminology, TRS means Tip Ring Sleeve, don't know what the F is supposed to indicate. That means the black phono is connected to the 3.5mm tip and sleeve (left channel) and the red phono is connected to the 3.5mm ring and sleeve (right channel).
