ARC Stainless Steel Red Whistling Tea Kettle, Magic Color Changing Design 2-Quart Stovetop Kettle Whistle Teapot with Folding Cup & Trivet Mat

So far, I love it. I bought it because I've been switching back to tea from coffee, and anyone who has had to pour boiling water out of a regular pan knows that it makes a mess. This was all it promised--heats up quickly, the whistle is loud, and the cat changes colors which makes me smile every time. Having read the other revews, I know not to use the trivet, I was unlikely to, anyway. The little cup is hilarious and will also probably never be used--it's a little too soft for me to trust with a hot beverage! I will also follow the others' advice and dry it out after using so as to hold the rust at bay.

Everybody in the office where my sister works love it so much they’re looking to get some too. The kettle was very nice.

Little late with my review but... I love this little kettle. Yes it's light weight, and a bit smaller than my other kettles but it is so cute. The way the cat changes colors when water is hot . Im a cat person reason bought it but its also a big talking point in my kitchen when I have guests stay over. Whistle is loud the handle collapses. Storage is easier and cleaning because the handle is not in the way. Just an FYI to those who purchase the secret to prevent rusting.....after use pour out the water and Dry it Completely especially the lid. Do not keep it on the stove with water day after day.

I had heard of some teapots on Amazon not whistling like they are supposed to. Let me tell you this thing whistles LOUD! Exactly like the good old days! Be advised, due to the laws of physics, you need the water to be a little below the spout hole on the inside if you want it to whistle. The fact that this one ALSO has flower designs on the side that become colorful as the teapot heats up just makes it even more exciting for the kids. My kids (especially the girls) love watching the colors fill up on the butterflies and flowers and waiting to hear it start whistling before we all head to the living room to drink "sleepy time" tea and read the hobbit. Yeah I know, nerd family. lol. Anyway, I almost didn't buy this because it wasn't the usual amazon prime 2-day shipping, but something told me the heat-triggered pattern colors and the whistling (together in one product - which is not elsewhere on amazon) would be worth the extra 2-3 day wait, if only to be fun for the kids. And boy it was worth it (and it even came a day early). From what I understand ARC is an old company but new to Amazon. Hats off to them for this one and hope they bring more great products to the marketplace! This one in particular because of the heat-color design and the whistling make it a WINNER so I definitely suggest they keep a stock of it in Amazon's FBA warehouses :D

Update. I do have hard water, but my last kettle didn’t do this, and so quickly. Only been a week or two. Other reviews show peeling inside so I’m concerned about what I’m ingesting. Also, everything warm/hot sticks to the mat. None of my other similar mats do this. Unfortunately, I threw that out after discovering the quality of the pot, so I’m out that money The video shows just a brief sticking to the pot, but usually it will lift right up with the pot. Not sure why it sticks to this one because it doesn’t stick to the other ones I have, like the one that came with my air fry lid. 3 stars because the mat was important to me, but is clearly of low quality. I do love the pot itself, so far.
