Long Review:I don't usually write long reviews, but I wanted to encourage someone that may be like myself where reviews really help to make a decision on an important purchase. I am African American with very thick, natural hair. It is a blessing and can also be a task to keep the moisture in it.With that being said, after watching several YouTube videos, I found out that my hair is "low porosity". It takes forever to dry, like 2-3 days sometimes. Thick products and products in general can be very difficult to absorb in my hair, making it very prone to dryness.Therefore, I began to search for something that would help my hair stop being so dry. My hair has been dry for awhile now, but after finding out that a steamer can be very helpful for low porosity hair - I decided to give this a try.After applying a deep conditioner, plastic cap, and sitting under the steamer for no longer than 20 minutes - my hair has never felt or looked so moisturized. I have noticed growth as well, as I've been wearing mostly protective hairstyles.Once I rinse the deep conditioner out, I apply the LCO (leave-in, cream, oil/grease) method. This works better for my thick, coarse hair. And, I noticed the lighter the product the better.If you're on the fence about purchasing a steamer, let me encourage you to do it. Your hair will thank you for it! It's made a difference in my haircare regimen.Hope this helps someone.

This is great for the moisturizing benefits and it is reasonably priced. It’s easy to set up and arrived as described. My only complaint is that there is a lip in the hood which catches the water from the steam and every so often the hot water may drop on to your skin, which burns. It’s rare but it happens. Also just be aware when you finish and put it away that there is a lot of water caught in the lip of the hood so it sometimes spills out on the floor when you are trying to put it out.

So I have been using this steamer for about 2 months now. I use the face steamer 1x everyweek and for my hair 1x biweekly. I love it! I was hesitant to buy it because of other reviews but I have had no issues. I do not find the face steamer awkward to use. This steamer gets VERY HOT which i love. My hair is noticeably healthier because I use it. I defintely got my monies worth. I would highly recommend this product! The only downside I have is not being able to open it up and clean it but I try my best to clean it based on the instructions inside.Edit: So it's 3 years later and I still use this steamer. It helped grow my hair alot and its very healthy. I steam on average atleast one time per week.

So, this little gem has helped transform dry curls into super soft curls. I use to just sit with a plastic cap under heated cap (not under dryer) for 1 hour and that had a small effect on the dry hair issue. Now, 30 minutes with a plastic cap under this steamer is drastically different; curls are much softer even with using the same conditioner products so that means the method has made the difference. If you have dry hair and or dry scalp, this is a priceless investment!

It’s ok could be better.. I expected it to produce more steam than it did. Don’t think it’s worth $75. Ended up returning it.

This is one of the best decisions I made this year! I purchased this product for my hair and it makes detangling a lot easier. It has certainly cut the time it takes for me to detangle and style my hair! The steam keeps my hair pliable and moisture stays in. I love it!
