I just got my first KitchenAid mixer for valentines day and decided to go all in with this pasta press attachment and WOW. This thing turned my kitchen into a full-on pasta bar overnight. The setup was super easy (literally just clicked right onto my mixer), and before I knew it, I was cranking out fresh spaghetti and fusilli like I knew what I was doing. The different discs are such an easy way to have options and I didn’t realize how fun it would be to switch between shapes depending on the mood (or how fancy I wanted to look). It’s all metal, so it doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy at all. And cleanup was way easier than I expected, especially with the little tool they include to get dough out of the crevices. It's small enough to fit in a drawer under my mixer, which any other things it came with totally didn't have that flexibility. But the best part? I made homemade pasta for dinner and my fiancé was genuinely impressed (like… “are you hiding chef skills from me?” level impressed). The texture was perfect, and it honestly tasted like something from a restaurant. If you just got a KitchenAid and want to feel like a total pro in your own kitchen, this attachment is 100% worth it.

I absolutely love this new pasta press attachment for my KitchenAid mixer! I tried out a sourdough spaghetti recipe and it came out perfectly. The kids all enjoyed watching the pasta maker do its work and we enjoyed fresh homemade pasta for the first time this week! It is important to keep your pasta Dough wrapped tightly in plastic in between loading it into the machine. I’m looking forward to trying the other pasta varieties since it comes with five different pasta attachments. It was very simple to use. One helpful note is to wash all the parts immediately before it hardens.

Recently started making my our pasta and I must say, this attachment is fun to use, works amazing and so easy to set up and use! Cleans up easily too! It’s no louder than the mixer itself, look like the brand name products too. Perfect fit and really durable!

For at-home chefs who like a little adventure with their carbs I tried this pasta press with my Kitchenaid, and it is very easy to attach and use. When you get the dough recipe right, it presses beautifully and feels surprisingly satisfying to operate. The sturdier shapes come out great and look like something you could proudly pretend came from an Italian grandmother. But the spaghetti and angel hair settings seem to have formed a union and refused to cooperate. No matter what I did, the dough came out too thick and clumpy for those thinner shapes. Maybe it is user error, maybe the attachment knows I cannot be trusted with delicate pasta. Hard to say. Overall, it is fun, it works well for most shapes, and it is absolutely worth it if you like homemade pasta. Just be prepared for a little trial and error and some spaghetti-related self reflection.

It is impossible to clean all the food surfaces of this machine. The plastic auger is easy to wash, the plates are difficult but not quite impossible to clean. But the instructions say: “Do not wash press housing in dishwasher or immerse in water or other liquid.” The manual says to clean it with “a soft damp cloth”. A damp cloth won’t even reach all the interior surfaces (not that it could even sanitize sufficiently ). I can live with the”no dishwasher” requirement, but any machine whose food surfaces cannot be washed doesn’t meet my definition of sanitary, especially when dealing with an egg dough. Salmonella, anyone? This may be an inherent defect with all extruders, but this one is clearly unsafe. I had great hopes for this machine, but am returning it.

By far my favorite attachment for my kitchenaid. I just learned after the first time you need to use a much dryer dough than I am used to. So just make sure you add more flour to your mixture. It’s very strong and cuts beautiful pasta super fast. I love all the different attachments

This is so cool! Easy to make shaped pasta right at your fingertips. Connects to your kitchen aid just by unscrewing a cap on front and goes right on. There are plates inside that you switch out for different shapes. Now im on the hunt for other plates to go in there. Kids love helping too.

Pretty cool attachment. Mix up your dough based on the supplied recipes in the booklet, add to the pasta maker and it comes out the other end. The smaller the pasta, the slower it comes out. The larger shapes are faster. It’s a little tricky to clean but comes with a cleaning brush. It’s a nice addition to make home made fresh and preservative free pasta for the family. We made home made beefaroni and everyone loved it!!

Disappointing . I love my Kitchen Aid stand Mixer . I have used the Pasta Rollers/Cutters for years . I wanted to make other types of pasta so I ordered this attachment . It’s easy to use but very slow even on high speed . The pasta dough has to be SUPER DRY or it will not work properly . Adding extra flour to the dough to make is very dry is time consuming and makes the pasta Chewy . You can’t control the thickness of the dough . Running the mixer at high speed for over an hour overheats the motor . I returned it and will go back to using my wood pasta boards to make different pasta shapes . It is actually faster than the machine and allows me to control the thickness .

The first thing I liked about this pasta press attachment after using it is that it attaches easily to the KitchenAid mixer. Once the dough is set, it automatically releases pasta, so i don't have to shape it by hand. With 5 interchangeable plates, i can make different shapes of spaghetti, macaroni, etc. Since it is made of metal, it feels sturdy and gives me confidence to use it. However, it takes a little practice to get the dough consistency right in the beginning.

Happy with quality of the product. Great variety of options for different pasta. No issues works witn kitchen aid.
