HOMCOM Tall 456 CD/ 336 DVD Storage Unit 89 x 130.5 cm Black

I bought this to keep my fabric organised as a sewer. It is brilliant. I built it on my own fairly quickly and it looks a lot more expensive than the price I paid. I chose the white shelf and am very glad I had got the size I did as it is perfect to go by my desk. Excellent quality.

Have had 24 boxes of CDs lying in the attic for the last 7 years because there was no room in the CD storage we already had. We decided that it would be ok to place them in the guest bedroom due to its 'look'. We were not disappointed. It was really easy to assemble and has taken all those boxes of CDs - in fact it literally was full when the last CD was put on its shelves.

Easy enough to put together, looks good. The downside and why I rated this as a 4 is the spacing of the adjustment holes. They are not very compatible as just a dvd storage unit. Still good, and managed to fit quite few (450) movies but not as many as advertised here.

Quite easy to assemble, large capacity, and nice finsh (quality appearance).

This has to be the worst piece of furniture I have ever purchased. Please do not buy if you are using for DVD storage. When building it the shelves went wobbly and snapped off causing great holes in the top. Despite following the instructions I believed it was my fault so fixed with superglue. The unit was so flimsy but I persevered believing shelves will sturdy it up. Then came inserting the shelves. There are only clusters of 3 pre drilled holes and the ones you need for DVDs don't exist. I tried every which way to make it work but the spaces between shelves were either too small or way too big which would limit the number of DVDs I could store. I ended up drilling new holes to make them fit more efficiently. Then came shelf insertion. The shelves are placed on slippery plastic pegs with no grip. Pull out a DVD, pull off the shelf. Absolute nightmare. I would 100% would have returned the item had i not superglue it- I didn't think it would be accepted (although I did not reach out to supplier so not putting anything onto them). When in position in my alcove it sits like the leaning tower of Pisa- i have used a block of card to wedge against the wall. Its just a botched job of original unit to make it work for purpose. I have no idea how many DVDs it will hold but I don't hold out much hope as I have 12 remaining unused shelves..... very disappointed 😞

Item easy to put together took me around an hour at a steady pace there was an issue on one of the center pieces where you put the supports for the shelves two holes were not drilled out buy luckily i was using all the middle holes for CD storage it would have been an issue if it were for other things. it is slightly taller than i thought but it does fit perfectly for my needs excellent value for money managed to get it at £91.99 saved £13.00 for waiting a few weeks. it does seem sturdy enough but i think i will attach it to the wall to make sure my last unit toppled the other day spilling 770 CD'S ouch lol. The only issue i do have is that it is sent out into two boxes my delivery date was Friday the 13th via Amazon delivery but on Friday an Evri driver knocked my door to say i have a parcel for you was dropped off a couple of doors away and it had been delivered on the Thursday but no email or notification was sent to me about it and the person where it was dropped never even called up to say it was there for me. the other box arrived around 19.00 on Friday night but i had to go out but luckily the driver placed it in my outhouse area and placed bins around it for cover but that is my only issue but for further buyers the company need to be more with it with sending buyers notifications to no where the item is.

I needed a shelving unit with a slimline footprint to fit in our hallway to relocate all my OH's DVD collection into. I'd calculated that he had about 300 DVDs and this unit's description claims to hold 336 so I took a punt. Initially, I wanted a white unit but the "beech effect" was on special offer so I went with that. When my partner started taking the bits out of the box and started putting the unit together, I thought "All those DVDs are never going in there!" It looked so small! But... Looks can be deceptive!!! The way this storage unit has been designed really does utilise all the space within it to the full, meaning that it can be a lot smaller than the old style shelving units we all used to have. It fits neatly in our hallway and holds all my OH's DVDs and a few games with room to spare. Initially I was doubtful, now I really like it and the colour was right, after all. It blends nicely with our old laminate flooring quite nicely. Oh, and the quality of the MDF is really nice too... things have moved on a bit since the old days! Haha!

Product is of good quality and easy to put together. However it has a couple of design issues (that could easily rectified by the manufacturer, with a bit of common sense). When using the unit for dvds only, the dimensions (specifically the height) of SOME of the storage "cubes" is not sufficient for dvds to be able to stand up. Therefore, some dvds have to be laid down, which is just stupid in my opinion. No matter what height option you use for the shelf pegs, it doesn't help (due to the static centre shelf). If the unit was made to be a couple of inches taller, this problem would disappear. Also, due to the style of shelf pegs supplied, you can't completely fill all of storage "cubes", as the pegs get in the way in some cases and block the dvds from going in. Obviously if using the unit for CD storage only, you would not encounter these issues due to the smaller size of CDs. ADDITIONAL - The seller has been extremely helpful and proactive. I cannot fault them for their assistance.

Absolutely love it. Displays very nicely in my new home and able to Display all my DVD Collection. Very easy to assemble as well. Beautiful product for a fair good price

The holes of two of the shelves are in wrong position.
