Great Transformers figure. Lots of detail and great design. Lots of range in articulation so definitely alot of play. Lacks and ab crunch, wish they could've figured a way to give it one. Size is great. Stands about 7 3/4" tall. Definitely leader size up to today's standards. Figure is chunky so you get alot of plastic, but I do wish the figure came with more flame effects. Easy to transform without the need of a manual. All in all, you kind of get your money's worth. Having this figure in hand now, I feel like I could've held off for a possible discount.

Great figure, good articulation, quality and great looks

Man this is such an amazing Transformer. They nailed the look from the old Dreamwave comics - he looks like he jumped off the page. This is the first leader-class Transformer I’ve bought since SS86 Grimlock where I feel like I got my money’s worth. He has size and heft, has several accessories, and clever engineering for the transformation. This is a must-have for any TF collector in my opinion. Mine’s outfitted with some additional accessories I had around.

An exceptional action figure of Megatronus Prime from his appearing during the War Within: The dark ages comics! A must for any fan of this fantastic Prime character! I love it so much I got both the Takara Tomy & the Hasbro version! Please do not hesitate to pull on this one! High recommended!

One of the best figures in the line

To start, this guy is big! It’s almost impossible to fully convey just how big he is. He’s a beastly 8 inches tall and weighs every bit of it. It really feels like he’s a juggernaut of steel who could bring any opponent to their knees. And speaking of that, he is an amalgamation of the best gimmicks and features transformers has ever done. He has a transforming blaster that can be changed between three different shapes, the regular one, a longer blaster, and a tank blaster. (This was not intended, nor is it shown in the instructions) He also transforms into the tank mode of the War for Cybertron: Siege Megatron. I wish that he came with that figure’s sword, as his little melee weapon is somewhat underwhelming, and feels too small for him. His fire effects do not look as impressive or seamless as the pictures imply, and the ones designed to fit on his shoulders are very aggravating to put in place, and will pop off easily. His shoulder joints are a little loose due to a mechanism in his transformation, but they are very flexible. His opening fingers are looser than those of other figures with the same feature, and will open way further than is realistic. His transformation is not super complex, but it can be frustrating, and his tank’s turret isn’t very well designed, making the cannon pop out of place easily, and it doesn’t have a good spot to set the gun either. The tank looks a little too long, but its shape is pretty solid. I would less recommend him as a toy, especially to a younger child because of how complicated he is, but as a collector’s item, he is perfect. Also, PLEASE MAKE A TRANSFORMERS ONE MEGATRONUS PRIME, HASBRO!

He is the best around. No one is ever gonna bring Him down. He is the best in the world. Comes with tons of accessories. The quality is great with tons of pose-ability too. This one will be great if you find it for a fair price

Mein Sohn ist begeistert. Diese Transformer Figur macht einen sehr robusten und hochwertigen Eindruck. Nichts für kleinere Kinder. Die Transformation ist nicht so einfach zu bewältigen und bedarf einen Erwachsenen oder Kinder, die sich schon mit solchen Techniken auskennen. Mein Sohn ist begeistert, dass dieser Tranformer mit abnehmbaren Waffen ausgestattet ist und auch die Feuerelemente bei Bedarf abnehmbar sind.

TLDR; This is a stellar modern day leader class release with barely any issues I can point out. Megatronus has fantastic aesthetics, amazing posing, and tons of accessories. earning its price tag and more. Absolute recommend for your children, Transformers fans, and even general action figure collectors. I have been searching for this figure for a long while. I do not like pre-ordering products, and I especially do not like placing pre-orders on Amazon. Of course, the downside of this is that highly anticipated figures, such as this one, often become difficult to find. Fortunately, Amazon brought this guy back right before the street date, and despite the uncertain state of the stated arrival date, he eventually shipped. Despite that, I was a little worried. Over-hype is a real problem; I had been hunting for this figure for so long that I figured it could not possibly live up to my built-up expectations, and that minor imperfections would massively dampen my enjoyment of the figure because of the image of perfection I had painted in my head. After arriving (in a box that was unnecessarily big for its contents), I settled down, cancelled all my plans and called over the babysitter in preparation for the unboxing, which turned out to be an immaculate experience. I slowly but surely removed the box's contents, comparing the figure's size with other figures before even taking him off the cardboard backing. I removed each accessory one by one, examining them. Lastly, I extracted Megatronus from his cardboard shackles, and experienced the figure in its full glory. Allow me to get my nitpicks with this figure out of the way before continuing: - There is a tiny angle in the hips' outward movement that was slightly loose. Not loose enough to be unbearable, but not the paragon of solidity either. (I fixed this issue by applying joint-tightening solution, and now his hips are super sturdy) - The blade of the spear-looking accessory is made of soft rubber-like material, which tends to come bent right out of the box (which mine was), but after playing with the figure tons, it doesn't bother me as much as I thought it might have. I would have still preferred if this was hard plastic with rounder edges though. - In alt mode, the Requiem Blaster doesn't have more than 2 connection points to the arms. The tight joints remedy this issue to an extent but the turret will become misaligned if you have to angle the gun upwards. Even on my first feel of the figure, I was starstruck. Obviously, the plastic quality is excellent, and the figure feels wonderful to play with. Megatronus also looks magnificent, with the awesome Dreamwave design being brought to life spectacularly with a subtle mix of dark grey and dark purple, broken up with bright yellow furnace accents. He is also very tall and quite wide. His wideness and the fact that he's on the taller end of modern Generations leader class figures means he comes off very intimidating, especially when paired with smaller figures. The poseability is genuinely crazy. Megatronus has the full modern Generations range, and the standout points include articulated hands and slight forward/back tilting feet. Said feet, along with his sturdy legs, (ironically) let The Fallen stand up really well in any pose. His absolute best articulation feature is, in part due to his transformation, he has backwards AND forwards butterfly joints at his shoulders. This alone elevates his poseability from standard to MAGNIFICENT. The amount of poses you can put him in are nearly unlimited, and may remain to be one of the most dynamic figure in my Transformers collection, even without double jointed elbows and knees. As if the figure didn't already make up the pricepoint with its quality, size, and articulation, Megatronus is loaded with accessories. You can combine the staff and the sword to make a fairly cool double-bladed staff, and the extending Requiem Blaster is an amazing addition. The flame affects, too, elevate his aesthetics from an eleven to a twelve, and are a really cool way to emulate his fiery appearance in the comics. The transformation is great. It's not particularly hard, and the way that the tank parts store within Megatronus' body and unfold out is a super nice process. After a successful transformation, we have an awesome and very mean tank mode that just screams danger. As a nice surprise, the tank (and especially its base/treads) is extremely sturdy, more-so than the Siege Megatron tank mode, and is surprisingly heavy, heavier than Legacy Armada Megatron's tank. Every accessory, including the flame effects, can store on the tank. All in all, AOTP Megatronus is an absolute engineering achievement for the Hasbro and Takara Transformers team; they cooked a four-course meal packed into a single figure that's so good, I'm almost considering buying another one. Absolutely track one down if you even just like toys in general.
