This is an excellent tool for heavy overgrown hooves under rehab. BUT only for very experienced trimmers. It’s very aggressive and can cause great harm in inexperienced hands.

Works well

This is a very well made, sharp, grinding wheel. I ordered it to use on my horses to extend the period between farrier visits as it's getting harder to get someone to come to my farm. I have no experience trimming hooves. I am not sure any of my horses will tolerate power tools as they have the same amount of experience with power tools as I have with trimming hooves. Also, there is no instructions or even "helpful tips" for using this as a trimmer. I will need to do a lot more research as I could do more harm than good, or my horse may harm me. I think if you know what your doing this is a well made grinding tool. It's above my level of knowledge and physical abilities to use it.

This hoof grinder wheel is very well made, of heavy duty steel. Grinder tip length is uniform across the wheel, and tips are adjustable so they can be extended further if needed. Works as described, but doesn't come with any instructions.
