A must have.
If you have all the studio albums you need this in your life. The John Frusciante solos are mesmerizing, especially the dark and edgy sound of 'Don't forget me', the awesome intro in to 'Can't Stop' and the brilliant jam at the end of 'By the Way'.

RHCP live, and in particular Flea and John Frusciante jamming together, is as good as music gets. I just wish they'd released more official live stuff with the same lineup.

Most of the songs you would expect are here. Good sound and the jamming is excellent. How I like to think of the Chilli Peppers.

What a marvellous show-well worth listening to again and again!Been into this band for years from when they used to just wear a sock on stage-not on their feet!!!- and nothing else!

Die bessere "Greatest Hits"
Okay, über die gesanglichen Qualitäten Anthony Kiedis' lässt sich streiten - vor allem LIVE merkt man doch sehr, wie limitiert der Sänger als Sänger ist. Und ja, Geschmäcker sind verschieden und eine Playlist kann es eh niemandem Recht machen. ABER: m.E. kommt die Playlist von "Live in Hyde Park" an eine fast vollständige Best Of der Peppers (bis zum Erscheinungsjahr des Albums) ran. Auf 2 CDs bekommt man hier alle großen Hits/Single-Auskopplungen plus viele Fan-Lieblinge plus vereinzelte Raritäten (z.B. das cover "I feel love"). Okay, ein paar Lückenfüller sind auch dabei (u.a. Trommel- und Trpmoten-Solos). Aber "Live in Hyde Park" ist definitiv sein Geld Wert und m.E. im Vergleich zum fast zeitnah erschienenen "Greatest Hits" die deutlich umfangreichere und bessere Best Of. Umfang: 26 Tracks, 25 Songs (u.a. aus den Alben "Blood Sugar Sex Magik", "Californication", "By The Way"), 2 Stunden und 3 Minuten Spielzeit.
