Super solid for the price!
I purchased this on sale via Amazon Prime. ($9 and change). It had solid reviews, so I went for it.I opened the box, thoroughly washed the metal cup and silicone part, filled the metal cup to the “min” line with fridge filtered water, then SLOWLY inserted the silicone piece.I inserted it until the water just came out of the top hole, and left it like that when I placed it into the fridge. (See attached photo).Almost exactly 24 hours later, I came and removed the silicone insert. (I grabbed the silicone and gave it a twist like opening a jar top). Came out perfectly. The excess ice from the bottom of the metal container was still attached to the silicone piece at the bottom, while the silicone halves were still together holding the ice ball within.I placed this excess ice under a running faucet of cold water until it broke off from the bottom of the silicone. Then I opened the silicone halves to remove the perfectly formed ice ball.Initially it was a foggy white. (See the attached photo where I took a photo with the newly removed ice ball with the three components. Then I ran some cold water from the faucet over this hazy white ice ball, and it became a perfectly clear ball of ice.Perfect…on my very first try.I love it.I placed the ice ball in a zip lock bag, completely removed all the air from the bag, zipped the bag shut, and placed it back in the freezer.I’m making a second ball as I write this.Let’s see how well the ice balls last while in a zip lock bag in the freezer. For under $10 USD, it’s a steal.

Compact and easy to use
Works well. Easy to use. Doesn’t occupy much space in the freezer. The ice spheres are reasonably clear and look great.

Easy clear ice
Clear Ice! Easy to use at a good price point. Size is perfect, easy to find room in freezer.

Work extremely well
I was more than a little worried after receiving these as the instructions included descriptions of how cloudy ice might form, and a second insert with more possible flaws in the ice. But the spheres turned out perfect using water from a PUR filter. One was a little flat on top from not being fully filled, but I'll know to look out for that next time. I waited 24 hours and think 20 hours would probably be better.Time to get rid of my cumbersome, older, four sphere mould.

Works well and simple to use
The media could not be loaded. I purchased two of these Clear Ice Ball makers and they worked better than I expected. See videos. I used filtered tap water from the refrigerator which is not softened, and have now made 4 batches of two each. Only one batch was a bit cloudy, but the others were very clear. The ice ball lasts for a full hour in a drink and doesn’t dilute the taste. The bottom of the ball may have some small but clear bubbles that form around the lower hole in the mold however the ice balls are perfectly round and super clear.

Clear Ice ball maker.
This is a excellent ice ball maker. It makes clear ice. The only problem is it's just one at a time.

Not 100% as advertised
I don’t know… The concept is good but in practice it’s not working 100%. After leaving in the freezer as directed, the silicone mold is frozen solid to the ice at the bottom of the container and can’t be removed. After waiting long enough - almost 2 hours - I was able to remove it but the ice was now partially molten and not fully round, though still usable of course. Also the ice is not 100% clear, there is always a small white area at the “South Pole” of the sphere. I tried to remove the ice earlier but then it was not yet fully spherical. Will keep trying.
