Excellent production quality and a very engaging trick-taking game
The first thing I want to highlight is the production quality. The cards are beautifully printed, with clear artwork and very pleasant card stock — they feel great in your hands. The tokens are also well made and sturdy, and overall the components give a strong impression of a premium, carefully produced game. From a physical standpoint, it’s a real pleasure to play. As for the gameplay, I personally find it just as interesting and engaging as The Crew. If you enjoy cooperative trick-taking games, this one definitely deserves your attention. That said, instead of going into detailed rules or explanations here, I’d recommend checking out online reviews or playthrough videos — they do a much better job of showing how the game flows and why it works. Overall, this is a very well-made game with a solid and enjoyable core mechanic, especially for fans of trick-taking and cooperative card games.

Something different,
Bought for my brother in law, cool well thought out game, nice to play a game where you work with others rather than against, decently difficult, puzzling might be a better work, value wise we got to chapter 12 of 18 and we’re playing for an hour plus, great value, I may well be buying myself a copy

Love artwork, great trick taking game. The campaign allows you to work through increasing difficulty. Plenty of levels and good replay ability makes great value for money. A must for any LOTR fan.

Good fun
Bought as a Christmas gift and my parents loved it. Can be done in sessions or for longer periods of time as it has chapters. A challenging but fun activity for Lord of the Ring lovers.

This is a seriously great game. It's simple to learn (if you know how to play other trick-taking games like Spades or Hearts, you're 90% of the way there). It's Cooperative, so everyone wins or loses together. Setup time is minimal. Space needed is minimal. You don't need knowledge of Lord of the Rings to enjoy it (though it would enhance your enjoyment). The game is strategic without taking a huge amount of time. The stained-glass style art is great. And most importantly, it's a huge amount of fun. I have a huge amount of board games and heartily recommend this to anyone who seems remotely interested. Also would make a good gift. (If you like this, check out The Crew, and The Gang as well) My only suggestion is to pick up some card sleeves on the side because it could see a lot of play and sleeves would protect it's value.

As a fan of The Lord of the Rings, I was excited to try this trick-taking cooperative card game. The theme is well integrated — you really feel like you’re part of the adventure with each hand of cards. Gameplay is straightforward to pick up, even for players who aren’t usually familiar with trick-taking mechanics. The cooperative element is fun; everyone has to work together to overcome the challenges, which adds a nice strategic layer beyond just winning tricks. The card quality is solid, and the artwork fits the theme nicely. The game isn’t too long, making it perfect for a casual evening or for introducing new players to board games without a huge time commitment. One small drawback is that luck can sometimes play a bigger role than strategy, so some rounds may feel slightly random. However, that also keeps it approachable and light-hearted for casual sessions. Overall, this is a well-made, cooperative card game that LOTR fans and casual gamers alike can enjoy. It’s fun, thematic, and a good addition to any board game collection without being overly complicated.
