Way, way better than most canned fish. Quality of fish and oil really shines through.

This was a big hit! Bought the three pack (smoked trout, mackerel, salmon) for camp snacking at Joshua Tree National Park. We had other dips and a Trader Joe's canned trout to accompany and compare. The hands down winner was the Fish Wife Smoked Salmon. People took pictures of the box so they would know what to order. The next favorite was the Fish Wife Smoked Trout, and then the mackerel. Trader Joe's trout was described as bland in comparison. Our group thought the Fish Wife product had the right balance of flavors without the fish or smoke being overpowering. Everyone was surprised that the smoked mackerel was less fishy than expected, and frankly, that was my biggest concern about buying the three pack. It might seem pricey but you could easily make two sandwiches from each tin or serve it as an appetizer as we had it. There were seven of us, by the way. I know tinned fish is big in some countries like Spain and I'm excited that we're finally getting high quality products that give us some variety over fresh fish or crummy canned tuna or sardines. This is tasty food!

Bought these for my husband for Christmas, now he asks for them all the time. He says they are very tasty and easy to have with crackers. The size of the packages are perfect and can make a few meals with each.

I, like many others bought this because of Shark Tank. It came so beautifully packaged with a cute little sticker! The design that went into the packaging made me even more excited to try it! The smoked salmon and albacore tuna were wonderful! Juicy, smoky, salty, flavor on point. The rainbow trout was good, but not memorable as it’s a more mild fish. Yes they’re in oil, it’s tinned fish…expecting anything less is silly. The flavor makes up for that. My only gripe is the price and lack of purchase options. I’d buy an entire pack or trio of just the salmon alone. The price is steep and makes me wonder if all that beautiful design and packaging drove up it up. I’d still buy again once in awhile, but not often because $12/can is a bit outrageous.

Fishwife is first class in all respects. May be pricier than others, but it's well worth it.
