1 Review: Works as advertised - Works great! Review: Works Perfectly For My Needs - Five Stars! - I ordered this battery charger to use in my home shop. The first one I received was dead on arrival. Thankfully, I was able to exchange the faulty unit and received a replacement that has worked great. I've used this charger on my John Deere 4020 as well as lawn mower batteries with great success. I LOVE the recondition feature and have experienced success in revitalizing old/worn batteries. Works perfectly for my needs - five stars!

Defective. Customer Service is useless!!!!
The charger instructions are lacking many details. I followed the instructions exactly and the charger just flashes information on the screen, and nothing else. Press the start button, you see the information flash and then nothing happens. It just sits there flashing the information. I connected an old battery and also a brand new battery to see if the charger did anything different, but No Difference!! Contacting the manufacturer is useless. They ask questions, but give zero answers. You basically work for them to figure it out and waste your time, not to mention the time delay to get any response at all. Item RETURNED!!!!! Sounds like a great product but NOT.

I didn't think it was possible!
I have four battery chargers already, so why did I get another one? The oldest one is a simple transformer from the 1960s that will apply a charge no matter what the battery voltage is. I use it to get a charge started before switching over to one of the self-regulating chargers. The second oldest one is from the 1970s, and it still works. The third oldest one is from the early 2000s, and it still works. The latter two are heavy transformer types with very limited charging modes and display feedback. The fourth is a 1-amp NOCO Genius that is pretty good. I got this battery charger in addition to my others because it has more modes for a variety of battery types. There's also a "repair" mode. I've seen lots of YouTube videos of people restoring old batteries. Sometimes it works. However, the idea of charging with a welder to get electrolyte boiling and cooking doesn't appeal to me. I have an old large AGM battery for my house power generator that I have replaced. I still have the old battery sitting around so I thought I'd give it a repair cycle or two. I did not have high hopes. I attached the new charger to do its thing for two repair cycles. Wow, now it's holding a full charge! I attached my load tester and did three test cycles allowing the tester to cool between each cycle. Wow, now it tests OK! After load testing, I now have the charger in normal mode applying a 10-amp load. I will challenge this battery over the next few days, and if it turns out it really didn't work, I will update here. UPDATE: The charger did good work, but the battery resting voltage is now 12.4 volts, which is degraded. The load tests are good, but the resting voltage drooped a volt by the next day. The old battery is just worn out. That said, the charger is still top notch. Otherwise, it works! Oh yeah, I really like the information provided by the display. It's so much better than a simple red/fellow/green LED to indicate the state of the charge. Also, this charger is very lightweight compared to the older designs. There's a much smaller transformer in the new one due to the circuit design. Verdict: Recommended. Amazing!
