Autoswitches!
My previous splitter was a hassle to use. Manual, 4k60hz, and would cause frame drops and screen blackouts with my PS5 and weird frame color corruption issues with my PS3. Alongside upgrading all my cables to HDMI 2.1, I also invested in this splitter. There's a couple of things about this particular splitter I quite like. First, it requires power. For some this may be a downside, but this enables other handy features this device can do, and ensures the transferring of video data is more or less seamless. My only complaint here is that the provided USB C cable is far too short, and no charger block is included. Luckily I have tons of cables to spare, as well as a power strip with USB ports, but this may be something to consider. Second, this thing is compact and sleek! I like that all of the ports are in the back of the device. Being a fan of cable management, it's nice to make things as tidy as possible. Third, IT AUTO SWITCHES! You can use the remote if it doesn't cooperate (which includes shutting the splitter on and off), but as seen in the video, it detects when a new device is powered on and automatically switches to it. This is particularly fantastic for consoles. I have my Switch, PS3, and PS5 connected to this splitter, and it is able to detect and seamlessly switch to each device. It operates on recency, so whatever device was powered on most recently will be the input it switches to. Luckily, though, the device comes with a remote so you can switch the splitter on, and to whatever HDMI you want, without getting up. You do have to toggle on the remote (there's a button for this, don't forget to do this), but once it's done it is responsive and works well. Overall, I am happy with this product. Time will tell if I experience the issues I was having previously with my devices, but I feel confident that this in combination with the most modern HDMI cables should let me get back to gaming without issue!

Great little switch
Works great, this was an upgrade to an older switch that had only 2 ports. Love that it automatically detects a source and switches to it. I work from home a few days a week and it's simple to quickly switch from work to personal computers (1 Mac, 1 Windows desktop, and 1 Windows laptop). I don't use the remote as the switch is on my desk and within easy reach...if I need to switch sources, it's as simple as reaching over and pushing a button.

Needs external power
The overall build seems solid. And YES auto-switching works. -it will switch to the last plugged-in source -it will also switch to the active (non-sleeping) source while plugged in You can turn off/on auto-switching by holding down the button for 2-3 sec. (the little "A" light will turn off/on to let you know) Or if you lose power, auto-switch will turn back ON by default. If you plan to manually switch, there are 2 options. 1) Auto ON, pushing the button will cycle through all the LIVE source and skip dead ones. 2) Auto OFF, the button will cycle through ALL source regardless if anything is plugged into them. The biggest downside with this device is POWER. It will NOT self-power via HDMI cables, it requires an external source. Yes you get a USB-A to USB-C cable, but DOES NOT INCLUDE a power adapter. So you you need to find a USB power source to power this thing. Also it requires quite a bit of power. If you have a cheap 1amp USB plug, it probably won't work, depending on quality. So you will need a 2amp (20watt) adapter to make sure it runs properly. You will know if you do not have sufficient power, when you plug into power source and the lights on the Switch start to flicker. And or if you try manually switch and it doesn't work. They REALLY, REALLY, should have included a power adapter!

Nice for my needs
I use it for 4K@60Hz, and it works great—no more constant blackouts. I haven’t tested its full capacity (8K@60Hz) yet, so I’m giving it 4 stars for now.

Shuts off from other remotes
This HDMI switch, while seemingly well-built, has a major flaw with interference from standard remote controls. I saw similar complaints in the reviews but thought it might be an isolated issue. Unfortunately, after plugging it in and trying to use my soundbar, the unit kept shutting off. This product is not reliable, and I would not recommend it.
