Fresh aromatic better than black pepper flavor!
Wonderful product. I just found long pepper. I'm a big black pepper fan but since I've tried the long pepper I don't think I'll go back. It has a wonderful aromatic smell and in flavor. I use it wherever I would have used black pepper. Just wonderful!

Different flavor profile from other Long Pepper I have had
While fresh and of high quality, this Long Pepper has a sharper, brighter and less savory flavor when compared to black peppercorns, while the Long Pepper I got from a different supplier had a deeper, earthier flavor. The clusters of this version are also smaller by half and less granular than the ones I used to get, which probably means it's a different cultivar. In fairness the description of this product on Amazon is very accurate, I just (wrongly) assumed that the product copy was either lost in translation, or written by someone who hadn't actually tasted it, lol.
