this monitor is just a sexy underrated beast ,once you are done tinkering with settings , and yes you have to its not the best out of the box , but its not hard to configure either ! overall its very colorful the blacks are insane and the best of all even if you game on it 4 hrs straight you wont feel any eye strain !! can share settings if you want for nice bright and colorful image purchase this you wont regret it also if you didn’t game on 2k res before u are missing loads of detail specially on OLED i would choose gamin on Oled for quality over a good gpu 😂 so epic colors ,smooth gaming , very fast responsive and the value ??aloo best on market currently imo. the picture on review wont show you how glossy this wallpaper is but meh i tried to show 🤣

The clarity from a 165 hz to a 480hz is night and day difference. Its priced fairly high, but its well worth it. Wouldn't go back to even a 240 from this.

There are some questionable reviews on this monitor. I’ve been using this monitor since early February. The only downside is even though it’s listed at dp 2.1 but it isn’t the full speed, requiring you to run it with DSC, which honestly hasn’t been an issue for me so far. People are saying the brightness is too low and I disagree completely. I’m willing to bet they didn’t know about the peak brightness increase in the settings. This panel gets extremely bright and rivals the brightness of my lg c1 OLED at high peak brightness in hdr. Also someone mentioned a lack of panel care settings and I also disagree, as there are 4 different pixel shifting modes to choose from, panel cleaning when in sleep, and dimming when displaying static content for long periods of time. Someone also mentioned not being able to tell if the monitor was asleep due to no front light, but there is an led ambient light on the back is you choose to enable it that serves the exact purpose they’re complaining about. If you can catch this monitor for $100+ off, it’s an insanely good panel. Impeccable response times, 480hz, bright hdr, amazing black levels, great build quality and stand, there’s not much more I could ask for in a display. I’ve been enjoying games old and new on this panel at extremely high frame rates and I can never go back. 480hz feels like looking through a window, the motion clarity is something you have to see in person

I love this screen. It has a screen cleaning process that runs when your screen is inactive to help make sure you don't get any bad pixels or burn in. I am on it quite a bit for gaming and it is beautiful. The 480hz is amazing too. If you can find this on sale it is even better value. Great purchase for me.

I purchased this LG OLED gaming monitor because I wanted a high-end display that could take advantage of high refresh rates for competitive gaming. On paper, this monitor seemed like an excellent choice, and I still think the actual OLED panel is fantastic. The picture quality is easily the best part of this monitor. The blacks are truly black, colors look great, contrast is excellent, and games look incredibly smooth when the monitor is operating at its intended refresh rate. For games like Valorant, Rainbow Six Siege, and other competitive titles, the high refresh rate makes a noticeable difference. Unfortunately, my experience has been negatively affected by recurring refresh-rate and display issues. The monitor has occasionally failed to stay at its advertised refresh rate. I've had situations where the refresh rate changes or becomes unavailable, and I've also experienced the screen flickering or turning on and off. What makes this particularly frustrating is that the problem doesn't seem to happen with my other monitors. In my setup, the other monitors continue working normally, while the LG OLED is the one experiencing these issues. That makes me suspect that the problem is either with the monitor itself or its compatibility with my system rather than a general problem with my computer. The biggest inconvenience is that when the refresh rate stops working correctly, restarting the computer is sometimes the only thing that gets it back to normal. Having to restart my PC just to restore the monitor's refresh rate is unacceptable for a premium gaming monitor. I've spent time troubleshooting the issue and checking the display settings and connections. I've also made sure I'm using the appropriate DisplayPort connection for the monitor's capabilities. Despite that, I still encountered the same problems. It's especially disappointing because the monitor is otherwise excellent. When everything is working correctly, the OLED panel looks incredible and the high refresh rate provides exactly the type of experience I was looking for. At this price point, however, reliability is just as important as image quality. I shouldn't have to worry about whether the monitor will maintain its advertised refresh rate or whether I'll need to restart my computer before gaming. It's possible that I received a defective unit, and I don't want to claim that every LG OLED monitor will have these problems. But based on my personal experience, I can't give this monitor a full recommendation. A monitor can have an incredible picture, but if I can't consistently use its advertised refresh rate without troubleshooting or restarting my PC, that takes away from the experience. For me, the biggest issue isn't the picture quality, it's that I don't feel confident the monitor will consistently work the way it should.

The epitome of monitor technology. It's the perfect monitor guys. The blacks, the colors, the motion clarity, the 0 ghosting. Just wow. How does it get any better than this? OLED first timer here so. 480Hz is noticable, the smoothness. Maybe hardly noticable from a 360Hz but still counts. Colors might look a bit weird on default color settings, has a red tint. But once you change to 50 Red, 58 Green 58 Blue it's just perfect. I also keep my hues on 60 as well so the colors pop. You will never go back from OLED. I tried really hard to find out why this 'matte' coating is bad as people out there say but there is just no way. Okay maybe QD OLED might have 5% better colors and contrast it wouldn't really make a difference for me. The ASUS 480Hz or this or Sony one it's all the same thing. Just get the best deal out of them. For some a 240Hz OLED may be enough. But 480Hz just looks stunning for me. It's really personal preference to be able to notice such detail.

Great monitor. Refresh rate 480Hz works as advertised. OLED blacks very deep. Colours need some tuning out of the box but are beautiful once calibrated. G-sync works great. Minor VRR flicking but only occurs in a few situations and never during actual gameplay, usually just in menu screens. Very easy setup. Stand works amazing and is sturdy.

Been using this monitor for 5+ months, love it, although i dont really notice a difference in smoothness after 300hz. Also i had a weird bug so i had to update the firmware through LG website. Problem is fixed just never thought id have to do that for a monitor!
