A great soundbar with the additional benefit of Alexa built in.
The Command bar offers great technology for the price. The sound (primary purpose of a soundbar) is very good, its not eardrum splitting nor can it replace a true surround sound system, but if you want a good quality product at a very competitive price, then this should be on your shortlist. If you want the added benefit of Alexa and being able to route your Fire TV through the bar then it should be at the top of your list. This product certainly enhances the sound from any flat screen TV, the wireless subwoofer means that it does not require cables stringing from the main device and provides a decent level of bass without being overbearing. I am very pleased with my purchase. Only down side being that the USB port does not seem to be powerful enough to power the new 4K Fire TV and so one has to resort to using the power adapter and cable provided with the 4K Fire TV, a bit annoying as this means another cable to lose , but certainly isn't a game changer.

Wow.. superb sound , great looks and easy set up all at a great price. Plus Alexa!
Wow...just bought this from Amazon - even better at a refurbished price - and the sound quality is absolutely remarkable for the price. The separation of sound and the base is stunning. It works beautifully with wifi and Alexa and the set up via the Polk app was easy. It looks minimalist and completey fits in on my Panasonic. (It actually fits on the stand) . Brilliant. I had a Yamaha before so I know what a soundbar can deliver!

Frustrating
Got this from Richer sounds, had this for a year now and gets more and more frustrating as time goes on! When I first got it trying to set it up was a nightmare, downloaded the app to my phone, phone couldn't find the unit and still doesn't, downloaded app to my tablet, worked a treat!Cannot fault the sound at all, works a treat and with the added sub films and music sounds great, it's Alexa thats the problem! Lost count the number of times I've had to reboot the unit because Alexa has froze or hasn't understood a command and the blue light just stays on, doesn't recognise commands programmed into the Alexa app, something simple as "lights on", it acts dumb and the blue light stays on yet recognised the command without problem the previous day! When you tell it to stop playing Spotify it just carries on until you change the input option! Took two hours for a bluetooth turntable to be recognised yet an Echo Spot some distance away picked it up instantly! This got worse after an update from polk! Have reset it up as a new unit a couple of times hoping that this would solve the problem but NO! begining to tire of it now!UPDATE.: finally after two years I've had enough and got rid of it, all the above problems still exist along with new ones of sound dropping, have to reboot the system at least once a week to get Alexa to work! Avoid like the plague unless you have the patience of a Saint!

A nightmare if you don't follow instructions: Bloddy Smart Meter Blues!
Most important thing, remove technology that causes interference. I didn't, I'd forgotten that our energy smart meter which sits next to the TV was a wireless device. This blocked all attempts to connect the built-in Alexa to the internet. I did get it to connect by reducing our WIFi security settings but it was still dropping out at least once a day. Eventually, I leafed through the separate wifi setup instructions again, noted the requirement to move things like cordless phones a metre away from the soundbar. After relocating our energy meter, the soundbar connected easily and has stayed connected ever since.Bluetooth connected instantly and you don't even have to get out of your chair to press a button, just "Alexa pair my phone" and select Polk on your phone's Bluetooth settings. We bought the Polk system as it advertised clearer dialogue. It certainly does. The voice volume control is not just a tone or treble control. It increases the volume of the central channel, where most dialogue takes place. In conjunction with the base control, it's easy to find a compromise between being blown away by sound effects and actually understanding what's being said. We've had it a week now, I was ready to box it up and return by day 3, I'm so glad I didn't.Update: Day 14. After the initial problems, everything was fine until this morning. I asked Alexa to turn my usual radio station on, she told me to try again later. I tested my wifi and the station by issuing the same command to the bedroom Alexa, no problem. I rebooted the Command Bar and after the usual lengthy whirling blue light everything was fine.Later... After a month I'm fairly happy with it. I've had no further problems with the WiFi, perhaps there has been another update. The convenience of having an Alexa built is apparent, we use it throughout the day as our living room radio. It responds to voice commands with far more reliability than a "normal" Alexa. The only negative is the lack of volume indication. The Alexa volume is much finer than a normal Alexa, 0 to 100 rather than 0 to 10. Most stations are fine at level 8! If you make a mistake it's going to hurt. The circular light on the Alexa does, in fact, appear to show volume level for various settings when adjusted. Nothing about it in the instructions though. It appears to be an afterthought which the manufacturers were too embarrassed to mention.

Great value with Alexa too!
Great value. I was shopping for a Sound bar and was pleasantly surprised to find this product which is recommended by Which? magazine. Alexa is a bonus. The wireless subwoofer is not intrusive and adds to the sound without being dominant. Very pleased.

Great for the family
Our family really love this sound bar. It looks great on the wall under the tv and the sound easily fills what is a pretty large room. The sound quality is excellent and it was very simple to connect and to configure our settings.Once set up it's incredibly easy for everyone in the family to connect wirelessly with their own music devices and the kids love having Alexa on call! I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it.

Perfect Buy for Apartment living
I've been on the lookout for a decent soundbar for a while now and have seen demos of the Klipsch RSB 11, Bose 700 as well as the LG Sk10y which are all great soundbars but didn't suit my home environment and listening needs. Whereas the Polk on the other hand is everything I've always looked out for. So what was I looking for in a soundbar who is this soundbar for ?TV's these days have become really thin days and hence the on board speakers are the first to suffer due to the industry's constant move towards making the TV's thin. A soundbar solves all that for the avg customer. By AVG I mean the non tech savvy lay person who couldn't care less about features like Dolby Atmos or setting up surround speakers and running wiring around the room to envelop themselves in sound for the best possible experience. This is for people who just want to plug and play. Just switch it on, download the Polk connect app and create and account and link it to Alexa and you're good to go. The setup process after unboxing barely takes a total of 10 minutes. You can connect the bar to the TV with either Bluetooth or HDMI ARC or an Optical cable.Sound Quality: The bar is pretty decent for the price and you simply get what you pay for. Nothing more. Nothing less. There is room filling sound but it's a 2.1 channel bar so please refrain from feeling the need to hear sounds from above or behind you. The channel separation is good. Bass is nothing remarkable to mention about and certainly not room shaking. It's punchy and it's adequate and it'll certainly elevate your movie watching experience but if you're using it to play music like Hip Hop, EDM, House or Techno and want some of that boominess to take the music listening experience to the next level then, you might be disappointed. Now for the Voice technology; this was the main driving point for buying this soundbar. Imagine watching a movie and everyone's voices are really quiet and muffled, so you increase the volume till they're audible but then the action starts and the entire room starts shaking and you end up waking the neighbors, the kids or some dogs that start barking letting the whole neighborhood know that you're an evil person. The patented voice technology lets you increase the dialogue clarity and audibility and leaves all other settings untouched. Its nothing like the sound modes that the TV's come with like Standard, Cinema or clear voice. It doesn't make the voices weirdly high whilst sacrificing the effectiveness of the gun shots and explosions in your favourite action flicks like the preset clear voice settings, nor do the dialogues sound muddy when you have it on a Cinema preset. The soundbar manages to exceed expectations when it comes to dialogue clarity. It's extremely effective especially if you live in an apartment and can't afford to wake your neighbor up at 1 in the night.Alexa: There are too many YouTube videos on what Alexa is capable of so please feel free to check those out. What can it do in this soundbar? It lets you change volume, bass and voice levels. It lets you shift HDMI sources that are attached to the soundbar. If the volume is too high and Alexa can't hear you scream her name, there is an Alexa button on the remote that reduces the volume to make you audible to Alexa. My set up is a 65inch LG C8 which is wall mounted so I ended up mounting the soundbar to the wall. It's a fairly easy process. Take the help of your local electrician or urban clap if you need help to mount it.Ps: If you do have the 2018 or the 2019 LG OLEDs keep in mind that the speakers that come with the TV are good enough for the avg Joe and by getting this soundbar you might only be able to appreciate the bass and voice clarity on the bar. If that's all you're looking for in the soundbar then this might be the one for youI'd like to finish by saying that everyone perceives sound differently, what works for me may not be the case for you. So please do some adequate research, listen to a couple of in store demos before you make your purchase decision. Thank you

Combine alexa functionality with your TV soundbar!
Good for tv. Not suitable sound for music. Volume is pretty decent. Mids and treble are not clear sounding and overlap each other. Placement of subwoofer is key for bass quality and effect. Cord running between subwoofer and speaker is quite short. Optical cables is short too.Suitable for a medium sized room (15x20ft max) and daily tv watching. Don't compare this with a 5.1 surround sound system and you will be happy with the product. Problem is you dont have the same sound effect in the entire room and this system is highly dependent on placement of its subwoofer for a uniform bass punch throughout the room area.Polk app is quite mediocre and is of no use except setting up the unit. The setup is quite easy. Took me about 45 mins to put everything together and configure the system using polk app. If the room doesn't have wifi, alexa is useless and in that case I recommend buying something cheaper instead. The remote has 3 modes tv, music and sports. All 3 are tuned quite well and sound quite good for each mode. Bass adjust button on the remote is effective. There is no night mode which was kind of a feature that wud help.Fire tv stick slot on the speaker is a big plus.Last when i checked, Polk has no authorized representation in India. If the unit malfunctions you are on your own. You may recheck regarding this again if you are willing to buy.Its not the best sounding speakers (not for audiophile i mean) but its worth buying if you are looking to upgrade from tv speakers to a better sound coming out of your daily TV shows in a small-medium sized room. This unit will definitely solves the purpose.I bought it for 20k on amazon during the great indian festival and dont regret the buy. I feel its worth 20k for sure for a polk product.Good luck.

Everything I wanted in a sound bar
This Sound Bar is my best buy till date! I was considering other brands but I sooooo happy I chose Polk. It was so EASY to set up especially because of the voice command and Polk App. I feel that surround sound experience is way better than even complete 5.1 systems and fills my entire room. It's incredible that this sound bar has so many features like a dedicated Firestick slot , and the sound is WOW for the price point. Its crystal clear and bass is punchy and room filling, thanks to the great wireless subwoofer. Also, I find the Alexa feature perfect. I already had an Amazon Echo but that is no comparison to this. Amazon music is loud and really clear. Also bluetooth sounds awesome. I am really really happy.

Doesn't synch with the subwoofer! Looked like an used product! Returned. Totally dissappointed.
Got the product a day ago! The product looked like if it was used before, the battery packaging in the box wasn't there. It was kept loose. Also, there were finger prints on the soundbar. The soundbar and the sub woofer did not even sync, after so many attempts. Checked the troubleshoot from the manual , and also surfed it up on google for the troubleshoot, and still no change. Got fed up in the end, gave for return , after the overall experience.

Awesome
Timely delivery by Amazon and the box wasn't damaged. Coming to the product , it is simply superb. The audio quality is excellent when played through HDMI and Very Good when played with Bluetooth. The setup is quite easy with Polk Connect App. Overall a very good product for 30k. I feel this product is a good value for money for the audio quality it offers even though it is a 2.1 channel. Alexa integration is very cool and voice commands work efficiently.
