CHRISTOW BLACK 2.4M TILTING PARASOL: Shade yourself in style with this Christow 2.4m Tilting Parasol. Perfect for using with a patio table, it has a black-coloured 2.4m canopy with a tilt mechanism to shade you from the low-lying sun. Plus, a crank handle to easily open. The parasol measures 2.4m tall (approx.) from the bottom of the pole to the top of the canopy.
UV-PROTECTIVE CANOPY: The canopy is made from hardwearing 180g polyester with a UPF 30+ rating to keep your skin well protected from the sun’s damaging ultraviolet rays. It also an air vent at the top to reduce wind pressure and prevent the wind pulling it upwards. The air vent also aids air flow to keep you nice and cool when you’re relaxing beneath it.
CRANK HANDLE & TILTING MECHANISM: Forget about wrestling with a fiddly pulley system because the parasol has a crank handle to easily raise and lower the canopy. Simply turn it one way to open the canopy and the other way to close it. It also has a lever which allows you to tilt the canopy at an angle and easily shield yourself from the low-lying sun.
LIGHTWEIGHT ALUMINIUM POLE: The pole is made from durable aluminium which is much lighter than steel to easily pick up and move around. The ribs have a hardwearing steel construction. The pole has a diameter of 38mm and comes in two parts which easily lock together. Instructions are included to easily assemble and care for the parasol.
IMPORTANT PRODUCT INFORMATION: A parasol base is NOT INCLUDED with the parasol and is essential for keeping it weighed down and stable in windy weather. Christow stock a range of compatible bases. Choose an 11kg base if you wish to use the parasol with a garden table, or a 25kg base if you wish to use the parasol without the stability of a table.

Strong sturdy and does the job

Good quality patio table brolly

Really pleased with this purchase, my old one broke just when we were having a heatwave. This replacement is slightly bigger than the old one and can be tilted which is an added bonus. Speedily delivered and well packaged, now just need the sun back ....

Needs weighted base

Lovely parasol but has to have one of those very expensive bases with weights (at least another £100). I purposely didn't buy a large parasol to avoid this issue but it didn't work. The write up does not make this clear and I thought it would be OK in a normal base through a table. After a short while a breeze blew it and it tipped causing my glass table to smash to smithereens! On a positive note, the company collected it with no fuss and I got a refund.
