SR11 AirPlay Audio Streamer Receiver,WiFi Multiroom Streamer,Stream Hi-Res Audio from Spotify, Amazon Music, Tidal (Silver)

This product is ideal for Roon users but they also throw in Airplay2 for the rest of the household. But most people would prefer a more full featured all in one streamer/DAC.

Buyer beware... my SR11 arrived with FW Ver. 6.41... contacted Fiio Customer support twice for documentation on released version. Both times Fiio directed to outdated documentation for Ver. 6.30. I provided pictures of display for configuration options not listed in documentation!! Fiio instead of providing answers just direct to wrong version links... "... if you have any questions please contact Fiio."... REALLY, why try again when you don't provide answers/support!! End result after must trial and error I'm using SR11 for local playback via USB flash drive flac files in my kitchen for sound... cheap setup vice a Bluetooth stream. My bad when first setting up. I kept doing initial setup linking via Bluetooth... DON'T do this... be sure to start with WiFi connection. This initial setup process it to get your cell phone, SR11 and your network device on the same local network. Also, be sure not to use Fiio Music for LOCAL USB PLAYBACK, use Fiio Control App. It, Fiio Control App, sometimes gets a little glitchy, but just close and restart app. So my setup is Android Cell, Fiio SR11 (coax output; local SR11 USB port), DAC, rack EQ, very old AV Receiver and Netgear cable modem. I have 512GB mSD card filled and SR11 reads stored files fine, after inital slow scan. This kitchen setup is close to microwave and DIDN'T like when microwave use distorted Bluetooth stream. Two things for Fiio... continue SR11 development through FW updates to fill in the holes and make SR11 complete package!! Fix glitchy Fiio Control App and provide imbedded album / directory artwork support for local playback!! Main thing about this setup is to stay within Wifi / Bluetooth zone (if going wireless route) for Cell Phone, SR11 and you local network hub device to work with one another!! I'm assuming a wired solution should be even smoother with SR11 without any wireless headaches. One thing Fiio should address is just because you reply to customer query, but DON'T provide answers DOESN'T mean you (Fiio) have provided customer support!! In the end I'm happy with sound reproduction and funds spent for inexpensive solution!!

Excellent DAC with high res capability. FiiO software is a little awkward tho.

I don’t have Roon but did try the latest update. AirPlay & DLNA works just fine but this product is being held back by manufacturer for not releasing its full potential. It could’ve been a contender but lacks a lot of integration from known music streaming platforms like Amazon Music, Spotify connect, Tidal & Qobuz, etc. Even the app doesn’t work on iOS. One thing I really like is that you can pair this with a DAC/AMP of your choice and for me the SMSL M20 or even their very own FiiO brand DAC/AMP. The sound quality is just very pleasing to my ears. Overall good music streamer/receiver, not great and not ready to compete with the likes of WiiM. If the company works hard and push for future updates to have better integration with those music streaming platforms that I’ve mentioned. Then it’s something to consider. For now, I’ll go with WiiM mini for its features and at a lower price with built in DAC and can also be paired with your choice of DAC/AMP. *Update 10/10/25 -Better push for JPlay integration, an alternative to Roon. I’ve tried it and it’s less complicated set up and way cheaper and no need for a separate server, especially for iOS users. It works with DNLA and a real bit perfect streaming. It’s perfect together with Qobuz or Tidal or you can also use it as a server, streaming your music library. -Another way to use DNLA feature is to get MConnect/BubbleUPNP app the cheapest way of all to stream Qobuz/Tidal and local music files, but with its limitations and sound is not great like JPlay or Roon.

I spent over a week trying to get this to work, finally returned it. Probably works fine if you use Tidal, but playing music off of a hard drive did not work for me. FiiO app would constantly lose connection with the device. App would constantly lose my library, never was able to get it stable enough to actually play a song off the hard drive, even though it's supposed to be able to do so. I have other FiiO products and love them, but very disappointed in this one.

Best audio buy this year. No competition at this budget.

It said it supports Tidal - except only Airplay & Roon show up on the tiny screen. I read the book & watched a setup video on you tube & I still could not get it past the word "connect" on the tiny screen for the wireless. It showed up on my phone but wouldn't connect through it either. I tried it over & over with the knob & the remote. Unplugged it & plugged it back in. I'm a retired computer guy & have been into electronics & audio since I was little - a very LONG time - & I feel as though something is wrong with me because I just can't make this thing work. I wanted to try this because I own a couple pair of Fiio headphones & love them dearly. But I just cannot keep this thing. Don't know if it's faulty or just poorly designed. I have a Wiim & will stick with that - easy to set up & easy to use & I highly recommend it over this little box of confusion. If someone reads this that owns one you will probably say "you needed to do the next step" but I just couldn't get there despite trying.

On Airplay the sound is just OK. On Roon I got excellent detail, resolution and overal high sound quality. Unfortunatelly still no DLNA on official firmware, alternative one sent by FIIO does not work as intended yet.

Build feels firm for its money. But it doesn't work. Airplay doesnt want to connect even when it is coupled to my wifi. I can't update, tried 3 different USB sticks, reformatted them several times and only had the zipped and unzipped files on it. Always Fail. Can't talk about bluetooth or other options because I can't update it! Needs to go again.

Waiting for my order today.. but the device doesn't have Bluetooth, I hope somebody interested will get better informed about it

Na de update naar v630, via DLNA (en waar ik geen fan van ben Airplay) te gebruiken. Voor mijn Hi-end set is het onvoldoende (kan ook niet voor dat geld, maar functioneert. Stuur hem niet terug, hangt nu aan een Cambridge versterker met USB DAC. Prima. Kan het iedereen aanbevelen. Minder ruis etc mee de DAC in (en dus ook uit) tegenstelling tot de laptops, die klinken allemaal anders en allemaal bagger.
