This cable has been exactly what I needed. My ThinkPad only has two USB-C ports and no HDMI, so this was a perfect solution for connecting to my portable monitor while traveling. It performs great not just as a display cable, but also for charging speed and data transfer. Charging is fast and consistent, and file transfers are noticeably quick with no lag or interruptions. I needed a new USB-C cable for wired CarPlay in my Nissan Armada. I had been using an Anker cable and it worked fine, but I was occasionally getting delayed CarPlay connections at startup. I was also running into an issue where Google Maps, Apple Maps, and Waze would sometimes show a blank map screen when I started navigation. To be fair, I had found workarounds for both issues, and after years of using wired CarPlay across different vehicles, I know these kinds of glitches aren’t uncommon. I prefer wired CarPlay anyway because I’m an audio nerd, so when I needed another USB-C cable I figured I’d try something a little higher-spec than the Anker. The specs are honestly overkill for CarPlay, but I had read that a higher quality cable could improve the initial handshake between the phone and the head unit and provide a more stable connection. Since switching to this cable, the startup delays and blank map issues have completely disappeared. I can’t say with 100% certainty that the cable was the cause, but the timing is pretty hard to ignore. For about $12, I’m very happy with the purchase. The cable feels well made and has worked flawlessly so far.

What can I say about a cable? It works and is high quality and not expensive. If you want a USB C cable that works this is a good one.

I have an Acer portable monitor that connects with USB-C, but discovered that most of my USB-C cables are charging only. This cable works great to cary the video single as well as power. 3.3 feet is just the right length to wrap around the monitor to either side of my laptop. 13 inch laptop +15 inch monitor. The cable is pretty thick and doesn't bend very tight, so make sure 3.3 gives you enough length. the cable does wrap up fine to slip into my laptop bag. the quality seems good overall and I will definitely look at other Silkland products if need cables.

Using this cable with a DisplayLink Hub which needs at least 3.0 speeds. It works perfectly and feels high quality. I’m honestly impressed for the price. It is quite thick and doesn’t bend well, in case that is important to you.

This cable is FANTASTIC, so long as you don’t need flexibility. I’m a systems engineer and I use a ton of these cables. This one is the best actual quality cable I’ve bought in over a decade. Great quality and functionality. But I tried to use this for my AR glasses and while it worked, technically, I felt like I needed cable management on my own head.
